Growing up on the coast in beautiful Northern California, Dr. Bradbury's love for nature and animals started early in her childhood.
Following this love, she pursued an undergraduate degree at UC Davis in Wildlife, Fish and Conservation Biology and went on to obtain a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from UC Davis in 2006. After an internship at Texas A&M University, she continued her veterinary training at Colorado State University, completing a combined residency and Masters of Science program. In 2010, she was board-certified in Small Animal Internal Medicine, becoming a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM).
After her residency, Dr. Bradbury returned to Northern California and settled in the Sierra Foothills. She worked in private practice in the Sacramento area for over a decade, and started her mobile practice, Sierra Mobile Veterinary Specialists, in 2020. She now travels throughout the Central Valley, Sierra Foothills, and Tahoe region, providing minimally invasive procedures such as endoscopy, rhinoscopy, cystoscopy, bronchoscopy, laparoscopic liver biopsies, and ultrasound to veterinarians and their patients.
In her free time, Dr. Bradbury enjoys adventuring outdoors and spending time with her husband and all of their animals - two very rambunctious Labradors, a very sweet (but neurotic) German Shepherd, three cats, and a rescued Thoroughbred.
Dr. Bethany Jackson is a board-certified veterinary cardiologist. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed a rotating internship at The Animal Medical Center in New York City, followed by a cardiology internship and residency at MedVet Medical and Cancer Centers for Pets in Worthington, OH. She is board certified by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in the sub-specialty of Cardiology.
Dr. Jackson's interest in cardiology stemmed from experience with her own dog being under the care of a veterinary cardiologist. She saw firsthand how access to specialty consultation can help to further patient care. Her goal is to provide timely, accurate, and detailed cardiology consultations to allow accurate diagnosis and treatment of cardiac disease in pets so they can live long, fulfilling lives.
Dr. Brian MacKie received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Washington State University in 2005. Following graduation, he completed a one-year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at VCA Sacramento Animal Medical Group in Sacramento, California. After his internship, he moved to the University of Wisconsin-Madison to complete his residency training in Cardiology from 2006-2009.
Justin Uhl, DVM, MS, DACVS-SA graduated with a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Davis in 2002. He went on to complete a Master's Degree in comparative pathology with an emphasis in bone biomechanics in 2008 and completed his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree in 2010.
After graduating from veterinary school, Dr. Uhl pursued a rotating internship followed by a surgery residency at the University of Minnesota. During his residency, he served for 2 years as chief resident and sat on the medical review board at the hospital. He finished his residency in July of 2014 and worked in private practice in Sacramento before starting Summit Veterinary Surgery Service in May of 2018. Dr. Uhl is trained in orthopedic, neurologic, soft tissue, and minimally invasive procedures.
Dr. Uhl has multiple publications in bone plate research, bladder stone trends, temporal lobe epilepsy, and osteosarcoma chemotherapy. He has also done research in the areas of interlocking nails and cranial cruciate ligament disease.
He has spoken at many continuing education events around the world and is a reviewer for the Veterinary Surgery journal and the Journal of the American Animal Hospital Association. He previously sat on the ACVS continuing education committee. He is a member of the Veterinary Orthopedic Society and Veterinary Society of Surgical Oncology. When not in the hospital Dr. Uhl enjoys spending time with his wife Tracy and daughters Haley and Madison. He also enjoys spending time running, biking, and swimming and has 3 dogs and a cat at home.
Kristi began working in a veterinary hospital at the age of 16. Immediately after high school she attended college to become a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT). After working many years in the veterinary profession, she left and became a Registered Dental Assistant. There are many jobs a person can love doing in life, however, there is usually one job you have a true passion for doing, and for Kristi, that was veterinary medicine.
In 1996 Kristi began working for Banfield as a Hospital Director and was quickly promoted. Her new position required weekly travel and Dr. Pawlowski and Kristi realized their new dream. They opened their first hospital in Folsom, CA in 2002 and their second hospital in Lincoln, CA in 2007. The most important factor in opening their own hospitals was to create a family - not just with their team but with the clients who grew with them.
Kristi believes in developing the team in a way to empower people and allow them to grow as individuals. She is active in numerous committees for the California Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA), acting currently as co-chair for the CVMA Certified Veterinary Assistant Committee and current member and past-chair of the CVMA RVT Committee.
In 2018 Kristi received the CVMA's RVT of the Year Award for Private Practice. In February 2022, Kristi was elected as the first RVT to the CVMA Board of Governors, making her the first RVT voting member of CVMA.
In 2016, after selling both hospitals back to Banfield, Kristi returned to school, a lifelong goal. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from California State University, Sacramento in 2019 with her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Management of Human Resources and Organizational Behavior.
Kristi lives with her husband, Dr. Pawlowski, two cats (Sabarri and Gaton) and two dogs (Kermit and Rowlf). Dr. Pawlowski understands he comes second to Kermit - Kristi's true love. She is looking forward to developing a new team at IVWC and meeting new friends and growing relationships with a new family.
