Bill Bernstein

Bill Bernstein is an accomplished business owner, manager and sales professional with experience serving multiple client groups in various business disciplines. Bill has been recognized as a top-ranked sales manager for his contributions to successful sales figures, territory expansion, new account development and establishing strong client relationships. In addition to being a partner of the company, Bill leads the sales department and manages all phases of new business marketing. Bill is instrumental in building & cultivating long-term quality relationships with our customers. Bill shares the same high values, compassion & care for our clients as every member of the team at ITS. With Bill's extensive knowledge & experience in business development and management, he is an asset to Island Trauma Services.

Bob Brideson

Bob has a great deal of experience in Crime Scenes and Biological Hazard remediation due to his 22 years in law enforcement as a Sergeant in the NYPD and currently as a Lead Instructor with the National Center for Biomedical Research and Training (NCBRT). Bob has responded to, processed and supervised many crime scenes and drug labs in his career with the NYPD. Bob has worked in many facets of policing including patrol, anti-crime and narcotics units as both a Police Officer and Sergeant. Bob was also a supervisor in the NYPD Chemical, Ordinance, Biological and Radiological (COBRA) unit. This unit was tasked with training members of the NYPD in response and operations in a WMD environment. Bob has attended a great deal of training in the field and is a Federal EPA trained and NYPD certified Hazardous Material Technician. Bob is currently a Lead Instructor with NCBRT which is a subsidiary of the Department of Homeland Security which provides training in WMD event response, safety, and prevention and deterrence of terrorist acts. This training is provided to Police, Fire, EMS, active and reserve military, federal, state and local law enforcement and government officials, and health and hospital personnel throughout the country. Bob also develops new curriculum and training courses to be delivered in this field. Bob has also provided training at the United States Merchant Marine Academy as an instructor/consultant for the Global Maritime and Transportation School. This training in anti-terror and WMD response and prevention was provided to active and reserve military, Customs, Immigration and Border Patrol agents of the United States and Canada. Chris McAvoy

Chris brings a unique insight into the Crime & Death Scene Clean Up industry thanks to his 22 years in law enforcement with the Village of Pelham Manor. Subsequent to receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Long Island University, he continued with graduate studies in the field of criminology. In his time with the Pelham Manor Police Department, he spent 6 years as a Detective and 6 additional years as a Detective Sergeant. He brings an extensive knowledge of Crime & Death Scene investigation. Chris's Certifications include: 3 week specialized FBI training in Criminal Investigations Certified in Crime Scene Investigation and Advanced Crime Scene Investigations presented by Westchester County Department of Labs and Research and Westchester County District Attorney's Office Completed Police/Prosecutor Training for Detectives from Westchester County Chiefs of Police Association and Westchester County District Attorney's Office Certification from State of New York in Respiratory Protection Certification from Westchester County Department of Emergency Services Fire Division in Defense against Weapons of Mass Destruction Emergency Management Institute FEMA certification for National Incident Management System

Doug Baruchin

Island Trauma Services owner, Doug Baruchin, is one of only a small number of people that have been awarded the Council-certified Environmental Infection Control Remediator (CEICR) designation by the American Council for Accredited Certification (ACAC). This prestigious, board-awarded certification recognizes one's knowledge and field experience in remediating building related infection control issues. To earn the CEICR designation, a person must pass a rigorous examination based on respected industry texts and then submit documented, verifiable field experience to a board of peers, earning a unanimous vote of approval. The CEICR designation is accredited by the Council of Engineering and Scientific Specialty Boards (CESB).
