Dr. Maidana was a research designer in projects for the U.S. Department of Energy (DoE), the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), the U.S. Department Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Department of Defense, the International Committee for Future Accelerators (ICFA), for the Advanced Fuel Cycle Initiative (AFCI) and for the Measurements and Control Engineering Research Center (MCERC). Dr. Maidana is a senior member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) serving at the Future & Nuclear Flight Propulsion Technical Committee and he serves as a scientific officer for the Mars Society Switzerland. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the American Physical society (APS) and the Project Management Institute (PMI).
