Amy Chatten - Founder

Amy Chatten, MPH, is the co-founder and Executive Director of Mammography Educators. She has her Master's in Public Health with a focus on maternal and child health. Amy worked as the Manager of Breast Imaging at the University of California San Diego Health System for over five years and has experience leading health programs for over 20 years. Her expertise is in clinical operations, program planning and analysis. Ms. Chatten was selected as the Quality Improvement Leader for the Department of Radiology at the University of California San Diego. She spearheaded the effort to achieve the prestigious American College of Radiology Breast Imaging Center of Excellence designation within her first year and a half as Manager of the department. Amy has almost two decades of experience in program planning and analysis, as well as training in Six Sigma and Kaizen for performance improvement strategies. She is focused on providing a superior patient experience with an emphasis on high quality care and patient safety. Her approach to providing excellent patient care includes building solid relationships with radiologists, staff and referring providers. Amy strives to expand and elevate the role of the technologist and their sense of appreciation as a valued member of the breast imaging team. As Executive Director, Amy oversees all staff and consultants, strives to enhance client relationships, develop strategic partnerships and expand Mammography Educators' services and develop new programs across the United States and internationally. Amy is originally from the Midwest, but has lived out in San Diego for over 12 years. She achieved her BA from the University of Michigan and her graduate degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Amy loves traveling, waterskiing, cooking, exercising in the beautiful southern California outdoors, and spending time with friends and family. Most importantly, she is the proud mom of amazing twin boys and wife to an incredible husband.

Jessica Refkin

Jessica's mission as Project Manager at Mammography Educators is to inspire, educate and motivate individuals. Jess strongly believes that one should never stop learning or growing, both professionally and personally.

Katie Seaton

Katie Seaton, B.A., is our Account Manager who works with clients and consultants to help them accomplish their educational goals. Katie believes that mammography education can save lives and is excited to be involved with a company that educates and empowers women. Katie has worked at developing and managing small businesses and brings important experience in improving business reach, efficiency and collaboration. Katie holds Bachelor's degrees in both Sustainability and Film Production from California State University, Northridge. She enjoys spending time with her husband and is the proud mom of two daughters and two dogs.

Louise C. Miller - Founder

Louise Miller and Amy Chatten founded Mammography Educators in 2013. Prior to this date, Louise Miller led the highly successfully Quality, Care and Commitment (QCC) Mammography Seminars. This educational platform provided didactic and hands-on training for over 50,000 radiologic technologists in the United States and Canada. Ms. Miller has also consulted at over 300 Breast Centers worldwide. Louise is the co-founder and former Director of the Mammography Practicum at the School of Medicine, University of California, San Diego, where she taught for over 25 years. At San Diego Mesa College, she developed, implemented, and taught the first mammography course in the nation that was connected to a radiologic technology program curriculum. Louise has extensive training and expertise in patient relations, clinical breast examination, and breast self-examination, which she adapts for both public and professional audiences.
