Adam Fortier

After graduating from North Country Unified Senior High School in Newport, Vermont, Adam Fortier spent two years working towards a degree in Computer Science at Western New England College, before he discovered his interest in the electrical field. To pursue this interest, Adam began employment at MEI Electrical Contractors in 1996. While working for MEI, Adam gained his Master Electrician license through the Vermont Electrical Apprenticeship program. Adam now has his Master Electrician license in both Vermont and New Hampshire. Adam started as an apprentice in 1996 and is now owner of MEI. As owner, Adam Fortier personally oversees all aspects of MEI's operations, including strategic planning, project development, marketing, estimating, sales, information technology, employees, and customer relations and customer satisfaction. Throughout his career, Adam has acquired multiple industry-related certifications, such as: Fire Alarm TQP, LC credentials through NCQLP, REV Approved Solar Training through Green Mountain Electric, and CPR Training. Adam enjoys football, being a loyal Detroit Lions fan since his days growing up playing football in school. When he is not busy overseeing MEI, Adam can often be found at Jay Peak Resort, skiing in the winter months, and hiking with his wife and son in the summer months.

Brenda Potter - CFO

Brenda Potter has joined MEI in 2022 and has extensive experience managing businesses of all sizes. Her role with MEI is to manage the financial, insurance, purchasing, administrative, and compliance aspects of the business.

Rusty Bellavance

In 1992, the cold Vermont winters began to take their toll, and he decided to head for warmer ground, ultimately spending the next four years in Florida furthering his education and gaining valuable experience in the electrical industry. In addition to his electrical work, Rusty became a certified Diver. ​After returning in 1996 to his hometown of Hardwick, VT, with a much darker tan and most of the knowledge required, he was ready to become a Journeyman Electrician. For the next 11 years, Rusty worked aggressively through his apprenticeship to successfully become a licensed Journeyman Electrician while working for Messier Electric and Ames Electric. ​In 2007, Rusty decided that his best career choice was to join forces with MEI Electrical Contractors, and he quickly became part of the MEI team. Through MEI, he was able to complete all of the necessary requirements to become a Master Electrician in VT and NH. Rusty has also pursued, via MEI, his interest in fire alarm systems and now holds his T1 TQP (Technical Qualification Program) license for fire alarms. Rusty performs numerous annual inspections throughout the State and currently heads MEI's Fire Alarm Division.

Travis Dudley

Travis was born and raised in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont and has a strong commitment to family and work. He started in the electrical field as an electrical apprentice in 2004, and began working as a foreman with MEI Electrical Contractors in February 2010. Travis worked significantly and consistently with the MEI Vice President who oversaw several large projects. Travis was promoted to Project Manager in 2014, and holds a Master Electrician license in both Vermont and New Hampshire.
