Dr. Timothy B. Boone is Director of Education for the Houston Methodist Academic Institute, and a member of the Neurological Institute at Houston Methodist Hospital. He is Professor of Urology at Weill Cornell Medical College and holds appointments as Professor of Urology at Texas A&M College of Medicine and Baylor College of Medicine where he is a Clinical Professor of Urology. In 2014, Dr. Boone was appointed Associate Dean, Texas A&M University College of Medicine at the Houston campus.
Dr. Boone earned his Master of Science in physiology and Ph.D. in neuroscience at the University of Texas Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at Houston. He completed his M.D./Ph.D. at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston and urology residency training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. In 1991 he joined the faculty in the Department of Urology at UT Southwestern for two years and then moved to Baylor College of Medicine where he joined the Scott Department of Urology. In 2000 Dr. Boone was named Professor and Chair of the Scott Department of Urology where he served until 2008. For over 20 years he actively participated in the care of spinal cord injured veterans with neurogenic bladder dysfunction at the VA Spinal Cord Injury Unit in Dallas and in Houston.
Boone specializes in the treatment of patients with incontinence following prostatectomy, women with complex voiding disorders, and bladder problems related to neurologic disease including spinal cord injury, stroke, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson's disease. He maintains active participation in research, focusing on mechanisms of sensory control and dysfunction in the bladder and urethra that are related to spinal cord injury, diabetes or obstruction. Dr. Boone is the primary investigator for the Neuroregeneration and Bladder Sensory Science Laboratory at the Houston Methodist Research Institute.
Throughout his career Dr. Boone has written over 200 publications and given hundreds of lectures regionally and nationally while serving as a visiting professor for many departments of urology. He is a member of the American Association of Genitourinary Surgeons, Clinical Society of GU Surgeons, American Urological Association, Texas Urological Society, Society for Neuroscience, Society for Urodynamics, Female Pelvic Medicine and Urogenital Reconstruction, and the AOA Honor Medical Society. He serves as consultant reviewer for several scientific journals including Neurourology and Urodynamics, Journal of Urology, British Journal of Urology, Urology, Spinal Cord, and the New England Journal of Medicine. He is on the editorial board of Nature Reviews in Urology. Dr. Boone was elected as a Trustee to the American Board of Urology in 2006 and served as President of the American Board of Urology from 2011 - 2012.

Dr. Sostman received his M.D. degree in 1976 from Yale University School of Medicine. He then trained in internal medicine, radiology and nuclear medicine at Yale - New Haven Hospital. He was a faculty member at Yale University from 1981 until 1987, and then at Duke University, where he was Professor and Vice Chair of Radiology until 1995. In 1995 he was appointed Professor, Chair, and Radiologist-in-Chief at the New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center. He remained at Weill Cornell and New York - Presbyterian for the next decade, serving as Senior Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs (2001-2005), Executive Vice Dean (2003-2005), President of the New York - Presbyterian Hospital Medical Board (2004-2005), and Trustee of New York - Presbyterian Hospital (2003-2005). In 2005, he became Chief Medical Officer, Chief Academic Officer and Executive Vice President at Houston Methodist. He served as Interim CEO of the Research Institute in 2010 and holds the rank of Distinguished Member in HMRI. Dr. Sostman was appointed President of the Houston Methodist Academic Institute in 2019 and is now Professor Emeritus of Radiology at Weill Cornell.
Dr. Sostman specialized in thoracic and cardiovascular imaging and was an active clinician for over 20 years. He was named to regional and national lists of the best doctors. In his roles as an administrator, he supervised a large clinical department, then led the entire clinical enterprise at Weill Cornell, and finally led the physicians of the Houston Methodist System. He conceived Weill Cornell's clinical strategic plan and served on the campaign committees that raised $750 million and guided recruitment of more than 50 new faculty, development of new clinical services and a new outpatient care building, which was the first new Cornell University building in New York City in 50 years. He currently serves on the Methodist Campaign Steering Committee.
He is a Founding Member of the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance and the Society of Thoracic Radiology, and was elected to the Fleischner Society (1984) and the International Society for Strategic Studies in Radiology (1998). He has received numerous awards and honors. His service on scientific advisory panels includes the RNM Study Section of the NIH, the DMG Special Emphasis Panel (Chair) of the NIH, and the NIH Commission (Academy of Radiology Research). He has served as a member of the New York State Board for Medicine, President of the Association of University Radiologists, and Councilor of the American College of Radiology.

Kerrie Shojaie has more than 30 years of nursing experience, with the last 25 years in the oncology setting. Randy Steadman, MD, MS, joined Houston Methodist as the Chair of Anesthesiology in March 2020. Prior to joining us, he served in the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at UCLA Health since 1994, most recently as Professor and Vice Chair for Education. His clinical work is directed toward the perioperative care of patients undergoing liver and abdominal organ transplantation. He served as the UCLA chief of service for liver transplantation from 1999 to 2018, and nationally with several organizations including as counselor for the International Liver Transplant Society, as chair of the ASA Committee for Transplant Anesthesia, and as a member of the UNOS Membership and Professional Standards Committee. He is the founding director of the UCLA Simulation Center, which has served undergraduate and graduate medical trainees and the continuing professional development community since 1996. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Anesthesiology.
