Built in 1955, the Ward 7 Hospital and Dr M.L. Kuhlmann began serving the Town of Montgomery and the surrounding communities with accessible quality healthcare. ‘Doc' Kuhlmann was a dedicated healthcare servant to Grant Parish and he provided care to the area for many decades until the latter part of the 20th century. He and his practice are still talked about to this very day.
