Alana E. Pagán González joined Marini Pietrantoni Muñiz as an Associate in July 2019. From 2017 to 2019, she worked at the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico as the Senior Law Clerk to the Hon. Rafael L. Martínez Torres.
Karena is a member at Marini Pietrantoni Muñiz. Karena's practice is focused on matters related to insolvency, civil and commercial litigation, including defamation claims, torts, trademark and copyright infringement and contract litigation. Karena also regularly represents and advises financial institutions, private equity funds, purchasers of distressed debt or assets and creditor on insolvency matters, including collection of monies, foreclosures, bankruptcy and credit reporting. In 2016, she was appointed to the Intellectual Property Commission of the Puerto Rico Bar Association. Prior to joining Marini Pietrantoni Muñiz LLC, Karena was an associate attorney at a major firm in Puerto Rico from 2013 to 2018.

Luis C. Marini-Biaggi is a founding member and Chair of the Bankruptcy & Insolvency Practice. Luis concentrates his practice in all aspects of insolvency matters including bankruptcy, acquisition of distressed assets, public and private sector restructurings. He regularly represents financial institutions, private equity funds, purchasers of distressed debt or assets, and secured and unsecured creditors on insolvency matters and distressed acquisitions.

Mauricio O. Muñiz-Luciano is a founding member of the Firm. He has over 15 years of experience in commercial litigation and counseling of clients. His practice includes litigation and counseling of issues related to antitrust, intellectual property, distribution and franchising law, securities litigation, and general commercial law in state and federal courts, as well as arbitration and administrative proceedings.
Melanie is a counsel at Marini Pietrantoni Muñiz. She is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico. Also, she earned the Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) credential through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). Her practice includes commercial and civil litigation. Before joining the firm, Melanie served as law clerk for Associate Judge Hon. Anabelle Rodríguez Rodríguez at the Puerto Rico Supreme Court.
