16 years ago we were strawberry picking in North London and got carried away and found ourselves with more strawberries than intended, so decided to make some jam... We gave a jar to one of Joan's grandchildren who, when given some shop bought jam with toast at nursery, asked if it was ‘Nanny Joan's Jam'. When told it wasn't, she didn't want it, she asked if she could have Nanny Joan's jam.
