Kassim Caratella

M.Eng. - is an analytical Architectural Technologist with outstanding skills and experience in formulating practical design strategies. He has exceptional abilities in software management such as Revit, ArchiCAD, SketchUp, Solibri, EnviMET, Design Builder and IES Virtual Environments to simulate building modelling environment and building energy performance. Relevant studies in the field of Building Services gave him knowledge about heating and cooling technologies and energy systems. He specializes in Building Information Modelling (BIM), currently a BIM Level 2 expert and working towards an interactive BIM environment in achieving BIM Level 3. Kassim is currently doing his PhD on combining BIM, End of Life building stock and modelling techniques of existing buildings to fit the BIM process. He is also investigating the aspect of integrating Augmented reality and Virtual Reality for the whole design phase of construction, whilst considering operation and maintenance of a building as a form of a post construction BIM process (The application of Building Information Modelling for life cycle management of buildings using circular economy approach).
