PEM ELECTROLYSIS

Fraunhofer ISE has been working on electrolyzers to produce green hydrogen for over 30 years. We develop components and systems, integrate electrolyzers into the energy system and carry out sustainability and life cycle analyses. We focus on electrolysis with proton-exchange membranes (PEM) and anion-exchange membranes (AEM). Our broad expertise can support you in your electrolysis projects!... We characterize and analyse electrolysis materials, cells and entire stacks. We support the upscaling of electrolyzers using state-of-the-art components and production research for the membrane electrode assembly... Fraunhofer ISE, with a staff of about 1400, is the largest solar research institute in Europe.
