Alison has worked for Harvey Family Dentistry for over 20 years. After a brief hiatus from dentistry, we are all excited to welcome her back in 2021. When Alison is not at work she likes to spend time with her family and friends.
Amanda graduated from the University of Maine with an associate degree in Dental Hygiene in 2006. She practiced in Maine for over 10 years before moving to New Hampshire. Amanda is excited to join the Harvey dental team and make connections with each of her patients to help better their oral health. While not working Amanda is always looking for a new adventure. She loves being outside at the beach, hiking, camping, snowmobiling, or traveling. Her favorite pastime is making memories with family and friends.
Bethany is new to the Harvey Family Dentistry team! She graduated from New Hampshire Technical Institute (NHTI) in 2020. Bethany is originally from Caribou, ME but has been in NH since she was 10 years old. She is currently living in Dover with her wonderful cat Penelope and boyfriend Kevin. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, and hanging with her family and friends. A little fun fact about Bethany, she has her motorcycle license and also enjoys riding her dirt bike. She is very excited to be a part of the Harvey Family Dentistry Family and cannot wait to start building relationships with her patients.
Cathy has been a staple within the practice for the past twenty years. As a utility player, Cathy works in all areas of the office, as a dental assistant, front desk and floater, she does it all. She is greatly valued by all the members of the practice. We are most thankful for her many years of dedication and service. In 2006, Cathy expanded her education and became certified as an x-ray technician. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her loving son and family, especially while floating around at Merrymeeting Lake.
Dakotah joined the Harvey Family Dentistry in April 2021 with 8 years of customer service experience. She has fearlessly helped us transition away from our paper charts to electronic alternatives. Dakotah is a Maine native but loves to adventure and has lived in Boston, Allagash, Bar Harbor, and Los Angeles. Dakotah loves maintaining her wellness and physical fitness. She has always been an athlete and played ice hockey competitively for 13 years. Now Dakotah focuses her time training as a USPA Powerlifter. She is competing in her second meet in October 2021! In her free time, she loves the outdoors and making memories with her friends and family. You may even see her rollerblading around town!
Dr. Andrew was born in Portsmouth, NH in 1992. He is a twin and the second of four children of Dr. Paul E. Harvey, Jr. and Rebecca McBeath Esq. He loved growing up in the Seacoast area and creating his fair share of mischief among his siblings. He was educated in the Portsmouth Public School system graduating from Portsmouth High School in 2010. He was an active member of the Lacrosse and Track teams as well as the Student Council. After PHS, he continued his education at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Andrew graduated in 2014 with a degree in Biology.
Dr. Andrew began his dental education at the University of New England College of Dental Medicine straight out of his undergraduate career. Dr. Andrew has a passion for the new technology entering the dental realm and educated himself on the newest advantages. He graduated with his DMD in 2018 and entered practice with the energy to bring about the current updates to our facility. Dr. Andrew oversaw the office becoming digital in our radiographs and impressions, much to our patient's delight. Dr. Andrew enjoys playing golf and relaxing with his friends and family when not at the office.
Dr. Paul was born in Washington, DC in 1956. He was active in Portsmouth Little League and Portsmouth basketball teams. He graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1974. Among his high school basketball accomplishments were a state scoring record of 37 points in a 1973 tournament game, and a New Hampshire first-team All-State tournament selection in both 1973 and 1974.
Dr. Harvey continued his education at Colby College in Waterville, ME, and graduated in 1978. While at Colby, his number (44) was retired, and he was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches' first team, All-American Division III in both 1976-1977 and 1977-1978. He was later inducted into the New England Basketball Hall of Fame for his athletic achievements in 2006. To this day, he holds the record for the most career field goals at Colby College and remains the second all-time scorer and rebounder.
After Colby, Dr. Harvey continued his education at Tufts University's School of Dental Medicine, graduating in 1981. He was chosen as one of two students out of his graduating class to represent Tufts at the prestigious Pankey Dental Institute. Upon graduation, he was awarded the Outstanding Achievement in Operative Dentistry Award, given by the Academy of Operative Dentistry. Continuing on with his dental education, he attended the Harvard School of Dental Medicine Implant Jaw Reconstruction course from 1987-1988. Upon graduation, he became one of the first general dentists certified in both the surgical placement and restorative procedures of implant dentistry. He was also certified by the American Society of Osseointegration, the American College of Oral Implantology, and the American Congress of Oral Implantologists. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the New Hampshire Dental Society, and the Greater Southeast Dental Society.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Harvey enjoys spending time with his four children and extended family at Merrymeeting Lake in New Durham, NH, as well as all of the wonderful opportunities that the Seacoast area offers.
Dr. Susan was born in Portsmouth, NH in 1994. She is the youngest of four children to Dr. Paul E. Harvey Jr. and Rebecca McBeath Esq. Throughout her childhood, she was active in the Portsmouth Community acting as her Student Council Class President throughout her four years at Portsmouth High School. After her graduation from PHS, she continued her education at Barnard College at Columbia University. Dr. Susan loved her time in New York surrounded by a diverse population of people and personal histories. She was active in her sorority Alpha Omicron Pi and worked on her Student Health Advisory Committee to advocate for better access to healthcare on her college campus. Dr. Susan graduated in 2016 with a degree in Neuroscience and Behavior.
Dr. Susan continued her education at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine where she began her journey into the dental profession. Tufts offered a dynamic curriculum that combined traditional thought with the newest technologies. While at Tufts, Dr. Susan served as her class liaison for the American Association of Women Dentists during her first and second year as well as the Academic Chair during her third year. During her fourth year, Dr. Susan was a part of the Periodontal Selective Program at Tufts. She was an active member of Delta Sigma Delta each year and was honored to receive the Northeast Delta Dental Scholarship during her third and fourth years. Before her graduation in 2020, Susan enjoyed her externship at the Goodwin Community Health Center in Somersworth, NH. She has a passion for treating populations that have been typically ostracized from receiving dental care and hopes that Harvey Family Dentistry can become a dental home for anyone who has not found one previously. When not at work, Susan enjoys spending time with her family and friends in the Seacoast area. She loves board games, walking outside, and eating spicy food.
Gina is a seacoast native who joined our office in 2020. After 18 years of working in educational publishing, she has made a seamless transition to dentistry. No matter what work Gina is doing, she is making sure herself
and everyone around her is having fun. Her passion is people! Gina's goal is to make every patient comfortable while in the chair and to make meaningful connections during each appointment. Having restorative work can be intimidating but Gina aims to make every patient enjoy their procedures with her. When not at work, Gina loves hanging out with her son, being at the beach and shooting pool!
Jill has been Dr. Paul's faithful assistant for the past 15 years. She graduated from New Hampshire Technical Institute (NHTI), started at Harvey Family Dentistry and never looked back! Jill is valued around the office for her fabulous sense of humor and genuine kindness. She cherishes most, her time spent with her husband and adorable son and daughter.
Julie is a 1991 Dental Hygiene graduate from New Hampshire Technical Institute (NHTI). She has been employed at Harvey Family Dentistry for over 20 years and Portsmouth has been her home throughout that time. She is married with two beautiful children and has a passion for helping people look and feel their best. Living and working in the same community has allowed her to build many special relationships and bonds with our patients. For this she is grateful and looks forward to many more years.
Kim has been a part of the dental field since 1983 after graduating from Keene State College with a Bachelor's degree in education. She started working for Harvey Family Dentistry in 2000, where she worked as a dental assistant and is now working the front desk handling all the amazing patients. In 2006, Kim expanded her dental knowledge by becoming x-ray certified. Kim enjoys spending time with her husband and two wonderful children in Newington. In her spare time, she loves being by the water and enjoying the sunshine.
Liz has been practicing dental hygiene for over 36 years. She graduated from Forsyth Dental School in 1984 and practiced in Boston for ten years and the Cape for five years. In 1995, she moved to the Seacoast area, where she continued to practice dental hygiene and raise her two beautiful girls. She has been with Harvey Family Dentistry for 21 years. Liz is the life of the office, even though she only works one day a week, that day is never a dull one! Liz is an extremely caring individual and is always willing to help others. In her spare time, Liz loves to be at the beach and has a passion for fitness. For the last 20 years, Liz has participated in the Pan-Mass Challenge to help find a cure for cancer.
