REDP is dedicated to building a vibrant and thriving local economy by attracting new investment and jobs, through marketing and recruitment efforts and by working with existing employers... In October 2021, REDP was again recognized as an Accredited Economic Development Organization (AEDO) by the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), making it one of only 68 economic development organizations to have achieved this distinction. Richardson was first accredited in 2012 and was the first entity in the Dallas/Fort Worth area to earn this accreditation. Richardson is the only community in Texas, and only the second nationally, to have achieved the dual honors of AEDO accreditation and five-star accreditation of its Chamber of Commerce from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
