Christine Chirco

Christine earned her Master of Architecture degree from the University of Kansas in 2013 after completing her Bachelor of Liberal Studies degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 2010. During her time at KU, she studied Classical Renaissance architecture while living abroad in Italy in the summer of 2011. Prior to working in residential design, Christine worked at two commercial firms in St. Louis with a focus on design and master planning of healthcare and education facilities, including campus master planning. She also has experience in interior design and earned her NCIDQ in 2021. Christine has a passion for residential design and loves working with clients to bring their dream homes to life. Outside of work, Christine enjoys renovating her house with her husband, traveling, photography, and spending time with family and friends.

Cierra Widmer

Cierra is a member of American Society of Interior Designers and supports the interior design team and works closely with all Srote & Co divisions to create function and design of interior spaces. She is a graduate of Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in interior design, minoring in construction management and fine art. Prior to her focus in residential design, Cierra was employed by a commercial design firm in St. Louis specializing in senior living, marine, and casino/hotel interior design. Outside of her work life, Cierra has completed an extensive renovation of her own home and enjoys refinishing furniture and creating new furniture pieces out of live edge wood slabs.

Heather Helms

Heather has two decades of professional experience as an interior designer. In 2015 she joined Srote & Co to launch the interior design division and helped establish a superior cohesion and collaboration of architectural and interior design for our clients. Throughout the years of building an extensive high-end project portfolio, she has been the recipient of multiple interior design awards including two ASID Design Excellence Awards along with her work featured in various publications such as Design STL, Technology Designer, AT HOME, Feast Magazine and others. Heather is an active member of ASID and previously served as president of the American Society of Interior Designers 2015-2016 (Missouri East Chapter). As an Interior Designer, Heather collaborates with architect teams and home builders during interior planning in addition to leading individual interior design projects from initiation through completion; managing the design project scope and mediating client expectations and deliverables. Helms is extremely keen at listening to clients and learning about their wants and needs and clearly articulating those design goals to the corresponding project team or for procurement of furnishings and art. For Heather, the design process always begins with discovering the functional needs of the space and its occupants. Taking the time to fully understand clients, their individual personalities and family dynamics is always revealed in her completed projects.

John D. Lark

John has developed a broad range of project experience, including over two hundred building projects ranging from restoration and renovation to new construction of commercial and office buildings. In addition, numerous park, open space, and planning projects have been successfully completed with unique results. John has developed and delivered seminars and lectures to local and national organizations incluiding the American Institute of Architects, Citizens for Community Development, the St. Louis Art Museum, American Forest History Society, and the Illinois Park and Recreation Association. John has written a number of articles and served as editor of the Open Space Letter. Kathleen Grim

Kathleen earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Saint Louis University and a Certificate of Interior Design from UCLA Extension in Los Angeles, CA. Her professional experience within the design field includes multiple internship positions where she was responsible for updating, organizing and maintaining fabric stocks, along with creating renderings of custom furniture designs and resourcing custom fabrics for client projects. In addition to design, Kathleen also brings a remarkable aptitude for communications and leadership from her experience as a teaching assistant and student tutor at UCLA Extension. As an Interior Designer, Kathleen works closely with architects, structural engineers, mechanical engineers, and builders, to determine how interior spaces will function, look, and be furnished. She also communicates with clients and collaborates with architect teams during interior planning in addition to individual interior design projects from initiation through completion

Rick Hoehne

Rick, attended the University of Kansas where he received Bachelor of Science degrees in both Architectural and Civil Engineering in 1989. While still in high school, he developed a strong interest in architecture, primarily residential, including early American plantations. It was during this time that his interest in science redirected his passion for architecture towards engineering. After graduating, he began his career in structural engineering working in Chicago, IL where he worked on a broad range of projects ranging from 52-story skyscrapers to single-family residential homes. In 1996, his desire to be closer to family brought him back to St. Louis, MO. He continued to expand his knowledge base by working on a diverse portfolio of projects, including; commercial, healthcare, structural condition assessments, renovation, historic preservation, and multiple projects requiring design for extreme events. In his time away from work, Rick enjoys spending time with his wife and son. He also enjoys spending his free time flying radio control planes/drones and woodworking, where his primary interest lies in the arts and craft style, exemplified by Greene and Greene.
