​​​​​​​The ULCC offers a unique breadth of expertise by bringing together people from across the national legal community, including lawyers from the federal, provincial and territorial governments, law reform agencies, the private bar, the Canadian Bar Association, la Chambre des Notaires du Québec, legal academia and the judiciary. The ULCC addresses both the civil law and the criminal law and is bijural and bilingual in its work... The ULCC also provides a joint forum for matters of mixed civil and criminal law. Joint projects are developed, researched and recommended for adoption in a manner similar to that used for Civil Section matters... Since its formation in 1918, the Uniform Law Conference of Canada (ULCC) has had a significant impact on Canada's legal landscape. The ULCC provides independent analysis and resolutions for the harmonization and reform of law in Canada.
