Henrietta Randall married William Henry Martin and had eight children including Percival Claude Martin, listed in the 1911 Census as a shoe trader and Ernest ‘Ernie' F. W. Randall Martin, a shoemaker. Ernie had two sons, Alan and Robert, and Robert's son Lawrence - the current Chairman - had two sons, one of whom is the current Managing Director, Edward Martin. That means that since William Randall founded the company in 1790, seven generations of shoemakers, merchants and traders have shaped and moulded the Golden Boot into the highly respected and established institution it is today.
