Chris Anderson

Chris Anderson is an AQHA Professional horseman and has many years of experience in both the horse show and rodeo arenas. He grew up in Merino, CO where, with guidance from his Grandpa and Dad, he learned to ride and rope. In high school he was involved in 4H and FFA and through these programs competed in local horse shows and contests. He attended the APHA World Show and began a mentoring relationship with JD Yates. This early opportunity at a major show cemented his love for riding. He is grateful for the many opportunities to explore his passion for horses and the guidance he has received along the way. Chris has been training horses professionally for the past ten years. His main focus has been in the roping and cow horse events. He is an AQHA, RMQHA, PRCA and NRCHA member. Since his time as a professional, he has earned the AQHA title of Professional Horseman. As a PRCA member, he has been a nine-time circuit finals qualifier as well as qualifying for the National Circuit Finals. As an AQHA member, he trained the 2012 All Around Junior Champion and Congress Heeling Champion. His horses hold multiple Superior titles and Honor Roll placings. He has over ten RMQHA year end Champion and Reserve titles. In 2015 he became a NRCHA money earner and was the Mountain High Derby Limited Champion. He has qualified for the PRCA Nation Circuit Finals in the steer tripping. In addition to Chris' horse titles he has coached youth and amateurs to success in the roping and cow horse events. Sarah Anderson graduated with her BA in Sociology and Psychology. She grew up riding English and after college became a professional for a short time. During that time, she trained numerous students who achieved many year-end titles in the Colorado Hunter Jumper Association. Now that she has gained her amateur status back and enjoys roping and show in the cowhorse events. At home, she rides the family horses and manages CA Performance Horses. Sarah and Chris met when they were both working at Capricorn Farms in Brighton. They were married in 2013 and have two children, son Ike and daughter Tinsley. Chris rode and trained out of his family ranch in Merino, CO until recently when he moved his family and business to a bigger facility in Fort Morgan to allow room for his expanding business.
