Shahyar is an experienced finance professional who enjoys solving complex problems and taking calculated risks.
Shahyar has a 20-year track record in capital markets. He has spent most of his career at J.P. Morgan in sell- and buy-side roles in London, Paris, and NYC serving sophisticated institutional clients in various capacities: managing a trading book (including during the GFC), negotiating complex financing deals, and managing associated risks, structuring investment vehicles, and optimizing financial decisions with analytics.
He has been an active volunteer assisting social businesses in the US and Europe since 2012.
Shahyar is now based in France, where he is responsible for research and business development at EDHEC Risk Institute, the EDHEC Business school academic research center for for industry-relevant financial research.

Sophie is an entrepreneur, an author and an experienced business facilitator.
In 2003, she co-founded Naseba, a business information company specialised in supporting enterprise development in emerging markets. She was instrumental in its international expansion, and in accompanying the group when it went public in 2006. She was appointed CEO in 2009 and was responsible for its strategic development and overseeing its operations worldwide until 2019.
Sophie is the founder and spokesperson for the WIL Forum, the first platform for business women leaders in the Middle East and Asia. Based in Dubai for over a decade, she is the co-author of award winner ‘Game Changers: How Women in the Arab World Are Changing the Rules and Shaping the Future', published in May 2016.
She now lives in Europe where she advises companies on their D&I practices and regularly speaks in global conferences on entrepreneurship and women economic empowerment.
