Jeffrey S. Rosenblum

Jeffrey S. Rosenblum concentrates his legal practice in the areas of wrongful death, catastrophic injury, medical malpractice and civil rights law. Jeff also has a growing sports law practice where he has represented numerous professional athletes in matters related to anti-doping rules and regulations. Jeff has served as lead counsel in numerous personal injury, medical malpractice and civil rights jury trials and has successfully argued cases before both the state and federal appellate courts. Jeff has prevailed in some high profile cases such as a recent matter where he obtained an $8.5 million verdict in a medical malpractice case in which the defense refused to make any settlement offer prior to trial. He has also obtained numerous verdicts for his clients and has recovered tens of millions of dollars in settlements throughout the years. As his reputation as a premier trial lawyer has grown, Jeff has been able to settle multi-million dollar cases without even having to file suit, which has allowed him to obtain fair compensation to individuals and families without requiring them to wait for the timely litigation process to complete itself. However, it is Jeff's reputation as a trial lawyer that is willing to actually go to trial in all of his cases that allows him to obtain fair settlements early on for his clients. It is Jeff's belief that a defendant will never offer a fair settlement amount unless he/she knows that the plaintiff's lawyer is willing and able to try the case to a verdict. Jeff is one of only a few lawyers in this area that is a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, signifying his repeated verdicts and/or settlements over $2,000,000. He has earned a reputation as an aggressive trial attorney and has been applauded for his creative approach in handling cases. He has been successful in handling a wide variety of cases ranging from motor vehicle accidents involving tractor trailers to attempted suicides at a local juvenile detention facility. He is routinely asked to speak on issues related to personal injury and civil rights law by his peers and various professional organizations. See below for recent seminar topics. Jeff frequently appears as a legal pundit for the local news media. After graduating from law school with honors, Jeff clerked for the Honorable Robert McRae, a prominent federal judge who greatly influenced his legal philosophy. Jeff then practiced with a 500 person law firm in Dallas, Texas before returning to Memphis, Tennessee in 1993 to focus on catastrophic injury and individual rights law. To this day, he remains licensed in both Tennessee and Texas. He is a member of the National Trial Lawyers Association, the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association, the Memphis Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He has been named a Mid-South Super Lawyer every year since 2005, has been included in the Best Lawyers in America, was elected as a fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America and has been recognized as one of Tennessee's Top 100 Trial Lawyers since 2010 by the National Trial Lawyers Association. He has also been recognized as a Top 50 Attorney in Memphis. He was also recently named a fellow of the Memphis Bar Foundation. Jeff has served as an adjunct professor at the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at the University of Memphis where he taught Mediation and Settlement Negotiation Skills and is a regular speaker for the Memphis and Tennessee Bar Associations.
