Alyssa Volpi is a member of both the Rhode Island and Massachusetts bar. She is a magna cum laude graduate of Roger Williams University, where she received a bachelor's degree in legal studies and creative writing. Alyssa went on to attend Northeastern University School of Law ("NUSL"). Through NUSL's well-known co-op program, she gained legal experience with the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office in the Homicide Unit, as well as with a prominent Boston criminal defense firm where she continued to work upon graduating from NUSL. Alyssa has extensive experience with both state and federal criminal law. She is especially skilled at organizing and deciphering voluminous discovery in complex cases ranging from wire fraud to first-degree murder. Alyssa is a skilled legal researcher and writer; she has drafted and argued various criminal motions ranging from motions to dismiss before the State Courts to § 2255 motions to vacate before the Federal Courts. Alyssa has successfully argued dismissal of criminal complaints throughout the Rhode Island and Massachusetts District Courts. Alyssa has also successfully negotiated various sentencing agreements leading to non-jail dispositions, reduction of felony charges to misdemeanors and dismissal of criminal charges altogether.
Alyssa also has experience dealing with complex personal injury litigation, including drafting complaints, researching, and drafting dispositive motions, organizing and analyzing complex medical records, and coordinating with medical experts. Imary Alicea is a Legal Assistant at Mike Lombardi & Associates. She has been working in the area of law for more than 10 years. Imary has an associate's degree in general studies and she is currently working towards a bachelor's degree. Imary is bilingual, being fluent in both English and Spanish. Imary is well known for being personable- she loves working with people and will go above and beyond to help others. She brings such great energy to the room and makes sure everyone around her is ok. In her free time, Imary enjoys spending time with her children, shopping and event planning.
Lilybeth Torres is a case manager for personal injury and criminal law. She started in this field at the age of fourteen, when she took on an internship for The Met High school, where she was attending. She has been working aside Attorney Lombardi throughout her 10 years of experience in the field. Lilybeth has experience in all aspects of the litigation process including drafting pleadings and gathering and analyzing medical and wage loss evidence, instructing experts/investigators and communicating with clients. She has expertise in the area of insurance defense. On her personal time, Lilybeth attends College Unbound to continue her education. Michael Lombardi is the founder of Mike Lombardi Injury and Criminal Attorneys. He is a Rhode Island native and was raised in the Town of Johnston. He attended Johnston High School where he excelled academically and athletically. He was a four-year starter for the Johnston Panthers football team and received numerous awards for making the statewide all-academic team. He credits this to the values instilled in him by his football coach, who stressed the values of teamwork, commitment, hard work, sacrifice, the will to win, excellence, passion and results. Michael's coach repeatedly told him, "If you subscribe to these principles on the field, you must also subscribe to them in life." Michael has done just that.
Education
Michael graduated from Rhode Island College in 2002 with a Bachelor's degree in political science. He went on to graduate from Roger Williams University School of Law in Bristol, RI. Throughout his academic career, Michael also worked part-time as a valet for some of Rhode Island's finest restaurants. Committed to achieving his career goals, Michael would study in between hustling to retrieve cars-rain or shine, blistering hot or freezing cold. He learned a lot from the service industry and interacted with people from all walks of life. Long and disciplined days were his trademark early on.

Sulay Martinez is the Office Manager at Mike Lombardi Injury Attorneys. Sulay grew up in the City of Providence and has been working in the legal field for over 20 years. She has extensive experience managing high volume law firms with heavy caseloads. Sulay has the personality and drive necessary to effectively assist clients facing stressful legal situations.
