REMAGIMENT - Key Persons

Andy Davis

Andy, owner/CEO of Remagiment Advisors, lost his battle with cancer on January 6, 2023. He planned for the future of his clients, employees, and business to continue with his succession team at Remagiment. Andy was committed to guiding his team to help clients clarify their vision, identify roadblocks, and set new goals. He also provided insight on how to approach and build a fulfilling aging plan. Andy was committed to helping clients clarify their vision, identify roadblocks, and set new goals. He also provided insight on how to approach and build a fulfilling aging plan. The term "Fusionist" was given to Andy because of his ability to see diverse, disconnected ideas and somehow connect them. "Retirement is not a goal; it is a point in life, a point in time. It marks a point of divergence from one pathway of life to another," said Andy. He believed baby boomers are the first generation to have the time and the money to reimagine what their life can be after retirement. It is an opportunity to decide what they want the next 30 to 40 years to be. "Retirement should not be an end to something; it should be a new beginning," said Andy. Remagiment™ was Andy's word for this rebirth. Remagiment™ is "Your Life Reimagined."

Linda J. Thomas

If you want something done, ask Linda. That has been Linda's reputation for her entire life, and it is a big part of her role here at Remagiment. Linda has always been self-sufficient and an overachiever. Having to work early in her life, Linda attended college and earned her degree while working full-time. That's self-sufficiency! Linda worked in the aerospace industry at Sundstrand as an executive assistant, while also serving as president of the Sundstrand Employee Association. "People just gravitate to me. At home, I raised horses. I could be in a private jet in the afternoon and mucking horse stalls in the evening-whatever it took," said Linda. When Sundstrand was purchased and their operations relocated to Connecticut, Linda was asked to move with them, but the Midwest has always been her home. "Also, my elderly parents needed care. That role fell to me," said Linda. So, in her 50s, Linda changed careers and entered the financial services industry, with all its licenses and a whole new learning curve. "People thought I was crazy, but I did it," said Linda. She believes that life is about continuous learning. "People look to me for answers, not because I know them, but because I will find the answers," Maybe that is why she is still involved with the Sundstrand Retiree Group. Like Jan, Linda is fully licensed but does not work as an advisor. She even has her Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS®) designation. When asked how she wants to be remembered when she is gone, Linda hopes people remember her as a dream catcher. "My role with Remagiment is to help our clients catch their dreams."

Shawn C. Quam-Schulz

Shawn firmly believes she was born into this career. Her grandmother was in banking starting back in the 1940s, working with business owners. "She was a pioneer for the times," said Shawn. Her aunt was a vice president at a local bank and the head of bookkeeping. Certainly not common then. Shawn's mother became a financial advisor in the early 1980s. "Another pioneer of the financial services industry. I worked for my mother, and eventually, I took over her business," said Shawn. Shawn could not help but become another pioneer in this industry she loves. While she is a fully licensed advisor, Shawn believes her most important role within the firm is what the team calls the "case manager." Shawn makes sure everyone on the team is on the same page with every client. She ensures that meetings have the right people, for the proper topic, at the appropriate time. "We look out four years to determine the topics to be covered for every client. When life events occur, we adjust. I make certain that is always the case," said Shawn. In her spare time, Shawn also works with all estate settlements and assists the planning department with some analyses. "I do all of this because it is critical, but I also see clients as an advisor, because you are the reason I am here. Working with you directly energizes me and reminds me why we do what we do."

Steven R. Fagan

Job Titles:
  • Head of Cornerstone Committe
Steven has spent 30 years in the financial services industry as a successful solo practitioner. He always enjoyed his work, but Steven feels like he did not truly evolve until he joined the Remagiment Advisors team. "I asked for the opportunity to develop the risk management committee within the team because it is important to prepare for the ‘certainty of uncertainty,'" said Steven.

Susan L. Everett - CEO

Job Titles:
  • Managing Partner
One of Susan's earliest jobs was as a special education assistant in the Verona School district. She often finds those skills help here today as the managing partner of the Remagiment Advisors team. "I have been in supervisory and leadership roles throughout my life, whether in the financial services field, my years with a national retailing firm, supporting local nonprofit groups, and in my ‘mom' role raising my husband and children," said Susan. As one of the co-founders of Remagiment Advisors in 2017, Susan's role has been to spearhead the implementation of the team's vision. She oversees its growth, its operations and systems development, and the personal growth of all team members.
