SPYROS KAMNIS

Spyros Kamnis holds a BEng degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Lancaster and an MSc Degree in Thermal Power and Fluids Engineering from the University of Manchester in the UK (UMIST). He obtained his PhD in material sciense and modelling of thermal spraying process from the University of Aston (UK) and further developed his computational expertise as a PostDoctoral Research Associate at Aston University and later at the Energy Technology group in the University of Southampton (UK). He has 43 publications in international journals and 2 patents. The last 6 years he led 7 Innovate UK projects with major OEMs from the aerospace, energy and foundation industries. He has also participated in several other projects as WP leader. Prior to his industrial career, Spyros worked in Academia for 4 years as a lecturer in the Civil Engineering Department of Xi'an Jiaotong & Liverpool Universities... Wellcome to my personal website.
