BKR FARMS

BKR Farms was born from Christensen Farms in 2009. It stands for Bart, Kyle, and Ryan. Kyle and Ryan are the 5th generation of Christensens to farm this land, dating back to the original homestead in 1889. Ferdinand Christensen came to Grace, Idaho to start a life with his wife and 11 children. Over 130 years later, his posterity is still farming the land he broke from sage brush with a single bottom plow and a horse... From a wheat, barley, and alfalfa beginning, BKR Farms has expanded in a wide variety of crops. In 2010, oats were added to the rotation. With an effort to focus on a more sustainable farming future, BKR Farms has expanded into the use of cover crops and no-till farming. 2020 brought the addition of organic hard red wheat, mustard, flax, and experimental wheat varieties. The future is bright for BKR Farms and we are excited to provide your family with safe, farm to table products that you can rely on.
