BRIDGING SEAS

Bridging Seas is a youth-led global organization that aims to unify the Asian diaspora. Our goal is to connect high schoolers from around the world by creating a platform for them to learn about each other's cultures and unique experiences. We envision a more compassionate, understanding world where students embrace their roots and different lifestyles through direct communication with international friends... Founded in May of 2021 by three Chinese American high school students in New York City, Bridging Seas was created to do exactly what the name says: Bridge the seas. Like many immigrant students, our founders, Lauren Lee, Isabella Jia, and Sharon Liu were eager to feel closer to their cultural roots. As a result of the pandemic baring people around the world to travel and experience the benefits of cultural exchange, our founders decided to bring cultural exchange straight to students themselves.
