I've been a Sunday school teacher for seven years. Seven years is a long time, but it also flies by unbelievably fast. I feel like I just started teaching yesterday. I remember the first time I taught Sunday school. I was asked to assist one of the church ladies in teaching her kindergarten Sunday school class. I was terrified at the prospect of giving any kind of lesson in front of people, even if they were 4-6 years old. I stayed in that class and listened to the lessons for a month to "learn how to teach" before my co-teacher told me that I had to actually teach at some point. So I did. My lesson covered Moses striking the rock to get water. The lesson material suggested building a paper bag rock with a hidden can inside filled with water and tightly covered with aluminum foil. The idea was to strike the "rock" with a homemade staff that had a nail on the end. When struck correctly, the nail would puncture both the paper bag and the aluminum foil, "miraculously" releasing the water...
