Austin joined Confluence Engineering Solutions in 2022. He has a Bachelor's in Bioresource and Agricultural Engineering from California Polytechnic State University and over five years' experience in the water industry. Growing up in the Central Valley of California and having strong ties to the Agriculture Industry, Austin understands the complexity of the issues surrounding water and brings a unique perspective to help solve the water Issues that are affecting the Central Coast and California as a whole.
Austin's professional work experience includes special inspections/structural evaluation, design and specification development, and construction management for water infrastructure. With this combination of agriculture and construction experience, Austin brings a practical, solutions-oriented approach to solving complex water/wastewater engineering problems. In Austin's Free time, he enjoys mountain biking, surfing, and hanging out with his wife, Emma, and chocolate lab, Luna.
ConfluenceES founder Daniel Heimel has 20 years of water industry experience including engineering, operations, and regulatory compliance services for water and wastewater utilities. Combining technical expertise with extensive experience facilitating multi-stakeholder water projects allows Dan and ConfluenceES to provide a wide range of engineering consulting services that can support utilities in managing their water systems.
