Flippers #1 had been in operation for almost 2 years and expansion to a second location, Flippers #2 was now complete. The new spot just off the famous International Drive in Orlando was operational and slotted next to the Republic Movie Theatre which showed Batman and Indiana Jones non-stop all Summer, the traffic flowed in... One early afternoon, the young kid (now owner) was mixing dough in the rear of the restaurant when there was a knock on the back door. He opened the door to a familiar face he had seen before eating a slice and having a beer at the counter in his restaurant. This time the man wore a white chef coat with his name, Executive Chef title and Marriott embroidered on the breast pocket. The Chef introduced himself and simply said "I'd like to buy your dough". Puzzled a bit by the question, the Chef then explained that he needed a pizza dough to use in his hotel restaurant and the kid went to work.
