As the state's population continues to grow and diversify, our program's relevance increasingly relies on how well we embody diversity, equity, inclusion, justice, and accessibility. We try to embed these values in our organizational expectations and daily operations in order to continue to expand and innovate... Since 1970, North Carolina Sea Grant has provided research, education, and outreach to serve our entire state. We build more resilient communities and economies, support sustainable fisheries and aquaculture, promote healthy coastal ecosystems, enhance environmental education, and foster workforce development... Our focus will be on completed research. But, we expect to profile some research in progress if we think that the work matters to anglers. Some research will take place in North Carolina, but certainly not all. And who knows? Maybe some of our posts will help anglers catch more fish!
