HUNT POINT & RETRIEVE GUNDOG ASSOCIATION

Over a period of 3-4 years a small group of HPR enthusiasts were meeting in the midlands area to train their mix of HPR breeds either for the shooting field or the show ring. Most did both. This group increased in number with enquiries being received about where and with whom they trained until it became apparent that the group might be more that just a small happy band of individuals enjoying their dogs.The decision was made to make their ring craft class more official in order to raise the money to cover the cost of hiring a hall to organise an open meeting. This to establish whether there was a case for a proper society to be formed with the purpose of serving the needs of owners of our sub group of gundogs... The Hunt Point Retrieve Gundog Association (HPRGA). To promote and protect in every way the sub group of gundogs known as the breeds which hunt, point and retrieve.
