KORTSIDAKIS LEATHER

Our shop was founded at the end of the 19th century by our grandfather Georgios Kortsidakis, selling leather and other materials to traditional Cretan boot ("stivania") and shoe manufacturers. The mantle was taken by Georgios' son, Michalis Kortsidakis, who began work by helping his father in 1940, continuing the same business activity of selling raw materials to Cretan boot and shoemakers. Next, Georgios Jr., son of Michalis and grandson of Georgios Sr., ventured into purse making with few technical means. Thus, he started self-taught at first, but with great skill, to make his own purses in 1975. The diligent craftsmanship, the excellent quality of the leather, and the diverse types of the purses contributed to praise across all Europe. Now, in 2021, Georgios Jr and his two sons, Michalis and Marios, continue for the fourth (4th) generation, to create a plethora of purse designs that cover every practical need and desire by following the needs and particularities of the times.....
