We started Public Type to create a community, and give a home to, outside voices in the type field. We are design-focused with a strong passion for typography. Our focus isn't in historical type but more expressive and experimental forms. The core crew that maintains Public Type finds, shares, and supports interesting voices as their visage manifest into typefaces for a greater audience to use. Pairing established letterers, passionate designers, and fresh talent we are crafting novel forms of artful, typographic communication.
