Membership in the First Presbyterian Church The First Presbyterian Church of Sidney, Ohio is a community of faith with Jesus Christ at the center. First Presbyterian Church is her people who are committed to life together in our Lord Jesus Christ, giving and sharing of themselves to the life and ministry of the church - The Body of Christ.We believe that membership is through faith in Jesus Christ and acceptance of his Lordship in all of life. Some have attended First Presbyterian Church with their families, or individually, for all their life. Some come as visitors or guests. In any case, people enter into active membership in a Presbyterian church by: profession of faith, reaffirmation of faith or transfer from another church. After acknowledging a calling or invitation to the life and ministry of First Church, a prospective member will meet with the Pastor and Elders to be received as a member.
