SPDS US Chapter is incorporated as a non-for-profit US corporation. The Board of Directors for SPDS US is a volunteer group which manages the business aspects of the non-for-profit society including such things as the annual meeting, annual report, and tax filings. The Scientific Steering Committee is a volunteer group that determines and directs all scientific content including programming, conferences, training sessions, and membership outreach... ​The Society for Pharmaceutical Dissolution Science was originally formed on July 16, 2012 in Mumbai, India. Gradually growing over the years, SPDS decided in 2018 to expand internationally to the USA. The US Chapter coordinates with the Indian parent society while operating as a wholly independent not-for-profit organization incorporated in the USA.
