Outside of his dental career, Dr. Dave is the co-founder/CTO of BulkCustomShirts.com, as well as an amateur home renovator, virtual reality enthusiast, nature lover, and Dogefather to the best little Siberian Husky puppy ever.
Dr. Ali Latif was born and raised in Southern California and completed his undergraduate studies in Physiology & Neuroscience at the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Latif attended the University of New England in Portland, Maine to obtain his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. He decided to settle down in Austin after falling in love with its rich culture and diversity. Dr. Latif enjoys keeping up with the latest technology in dentistry and truly enjoys getting to know his patients on a personal level while providing inclusive and compassionate care. He takes pride in listening to patients' needs and helping them achieve their ideal smile.
Outside of the office, Dr. Latif enjoys board games, video games, and loves experiencing new cultures and traveling to countries including South Korea, Dubai, Japan, and New Zealand. He is excited to call Austin home and explore the local restaurants, hiking trails and live music scene.
Amanda's desire to help others began in high school as she watched her older sisters become nurses. During undergraduate study at Baylor, her professors and friends encouraged her to use her strengths in science to help and serve others. She completed her D.D.S. at the University of Texas at San Antonio Health Science Center.
She is also passionate about sleep disorder breathing in children and is a Healthy Start provider. Amanda has been on several medical mission trips to Guatemala, is a board member at her church's Children's Day Out Program, and gives time to one of her favorite community projects: the Shine Prom honoring students with special needs.
Amanda spends her time away from the office chasing a toddler or sneaking to a Pilatesclass and hiking around Austin's many trails. Amanda and her family enjoy classic pinball games and yearly trips to West Texas/Big Bend area.
Dr. Christopher Disla received his Bachelor's degree in Science from The Pennsylvania State University, and then went on to receive his Doctorate in Dental Medicine degree from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine.
He completed his hospital-based General Practice Residency at Hackensack University Medical Center in New Jersey. Chris was inducted into the Gamma Pi Delta Honor Society in 2011 and is a proud member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry and the Hispanic Dental Association. He is passionate about the trust built through open communication and patient education.
Dr. Disla speaks both Spanish and English and is committed to providing state of the art dental care to his patients. He is also a partnered dentist within the company located at Forest Family Dentistry Anderson Lane.
earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from The University of Texas Austin. After graduation, Dr. Meckel was a team member of FFD as a Registered Dental Assistant for a year while he applied to dental school. He earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Texas A&M College of Dentistry and we're welcoming him back to our team as a Dentist!
Dr. Meckel's passion is to help all his patients have a healthy, confident, and beautiful smile. He also enjoys giving back to the community by volunteering his time at Mission Arlington, a dental clinic for underserved neighborhoods. Dr. Meckel is also fluent in Spanish.
In his free time, Dr. Meckel enjoys dog parks with Levi (his black lab), paddle boarding on Town Lake, weight lifting, golfing, and DIY woodworking projects.
completed her undergraduate studies from Texas A&M University and started her career as a middle school STEM educator. After many years of teaching, her love of science, artistry and helping people drove her to make a career change into Dentistry. Dr. Hegwood received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry.
When Dr. Hegwood is not taking care of patients and educating them on dental health, you can find her outside exploring all of Austin. She enjoys volleyball, running, hiking, and to cuddle up with a good book. Dr. Hegwood is currently earning her private pilot's license as well so her explorations have no limits!
Dr. Olivia Dubray was born and raised in Kalamazoo, MI. She attended Western Michigan University for undergrad and earned two BS degrees- one in Biomedical Science with a minor in chemistry and the other in Spanish. She was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa national honors fraternity. Throughout her undergraduate studies she worked in an organic chemistry lab.
Growing up Dr. Dubray was competitive swimmer, and still loves being in the water. She moved to Chicago to complete her doctorate at Midwestern University and is a member of AAWD and Xi Psi Phi.
In June of 2021, Dr. Dubray moved to Austin and joined Forest Family Dentistry. In her free time, she loves to be outside! Dr. Dubray has two pitbull puppies named Bella and Gus Gus, and they are always exploring new trails. She also enjoys being in the kitchen-whether it's to eat or to cook. One of her life goals is to experience all of Europe before she's 40! Weightlifting is a huge part of her life, she competes in Strongman competitions. If she's not in the office, she's usually in the gym or at the pool!
Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana Dr. Purvi Pandya moved to Texas when she was 4 years old. After receiving her bachelor's degree from Texa A&M University, she completed her doctorate in dental surgery from the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston. Dr Pandya has been practicing for over 17 years. She loves all aspects of dentistry and is continuosly learning the new advancements and changes in dentistry.
When she is not in the office, Dr Pandya loves reading, traveling, & enjoying the outdoors and all that Austin offers with her husband and three children.
Dr. Robin Bethell is the founder and visionary behind Forest Family Dentistry. In 2012, he revolutionized dental care in Austin by making dentistry more enjoyable, convenient, and efficient. By creating a culture around patient comfort, Forest Family Dentistry rose to the highest rated dental office in the country on Yelp google reviews. This accomplishment was built by great people that worked very hard to make patient's dental visits enjoyable (TVs on the ceiling helped too!) He made dentistry more convenient by offering appointments at 7:30 am to 7:30 pm and on Saturdays so that Texans could get the care they needed when they needed it most. He made dentistry more efficient by streamlining the confusing insurance experience with a dedicated insurance team and bringing in technology and tools that make dental visits less time consuming and stressful.
born and raised in Del Rio, Texas and later went to high school in La Grange, Texas. From a very young age, he knew two things were certain, he wanted to be a Texas Longhorn and Dentist. Dr. Oviedo graduated with a Bachelor of Science and Arts in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin in 2017. The latter then became fulfilled in 2022, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Doctor of Dental Surgery from UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry. He always knew he wanted to make a difference in people's lives. Dentistry, with its hand on approach, combination of art and science, was the perfect way for him to do just that. His love for dentistry blossomed after working at Kunik Orthodontics between college and dental school and from there he had no doubt dentistry was the profession for him. Within his family, he is first-generation dentist.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Oviedo enjoys many hobbies to include playing guitar, going to concerts, hunting, fishing, running, rooting on the Texas Longhorns, and spending quality time with family and friends. He is one of five siblings and an uncle to two nephews and a niece. Falling in love with Austin during college, he could not think of a better place to begin his career in dentistry. He calls it "living the dream."

Her compassion for our patients is unparalleled, and is seen through her glowing remarks over the years. A Texas native, she completed her doctorate studies at the University Of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston. She is a proud mother of two beautiful girls. Her dedication to excellence is seen both in and out of the clinic. Dr. Helmick has focused her care in the fields of advanced restorative dentistry (working with some of the best dental labs in the country) for full mouth rehabilitation, clear aligner orthodontics, as well as risk-based specialized care. When she is not busy caring for her beloved patients, she loves to spend time with her beautiful family. She is networked with the best specialists in endodontics and implant dentistry for patients needing more specialized care
Dr. Darnell grew up in Round Rock, TX attending RRHS as a Dragon. She went on to earn an undergraduate degree in Allied Health at Texas A&M University. Dr. Darnell attended Baylor College of Dentistry where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree.
Dr. Darnell loves art and enjoys drawing and painting in her free time. The blending of art and science is what drew her to the field of dentistry and she enjoys using this artistic side to create healthy beautiful smiles for her patients.
Outside of practicing dentistry Dr. Darnell loves spending time with her husband, child, and two rescue dogs Maya and Rufio. She loves to travel and stay active with hobbies such as scuba diving and skiing. Her and her husband enjoy camping and hiking and are always seeking out new adventures!
