Bernard Guri - Founder

Bernard Guri is the Founder and Executive Director of the Center for Indigenous Knowledge and Organizational Development (CIKOD) in Ghana. He has over 30 years of experience in community development. He provide overall program coordination in Ghana. Bernard holds an MA in Development Studies (Politics of Alternative development strategies) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Development Studies (Rural Policy and Project Planning) both from the Institute of Social Science, The Hague, and a BSc (Agriculture) from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. He has a Diploma (Education), University of Cape Coast and Post Graduate Certificate in Rural Extension at the International Agricultural Center (ICRE), University of Wageningen, The Netherlands.

Daniel Faabelangne Banuoku

Daniel Faabelangne Banuoku is a Development Consultant with over 15 years of experience in community and organizational development. His work focuses on Climate Change, Environment, Food Security and Agroecology as well as Endogenous Organizational Development. Currently, he is the Deputy Executive Director of the Center For Indigenous Knowledge And Organizational Development (CIKOD), leading a team of 12 staff to implement grants and projects and is directly in charge of overseeing multiple projects simultaneously among other key roles.

Evans Wanikuu Niekuu

Evans Wanikuu Niekuu is the Programme Officer in the Nandom program district of CIKOD. Within his three years of occupying this position, he has been the intermediary between CIKOD and its local partners including the communities and government agencies. He holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Cape Coast and a post graduate diploma in Community Development from the Trent in Ghana Program (a study program organized by the Trent University in collaboration with the University of Cape Coast). He is also responsible for the administration and operation of the Nandom program office of the organization.

Kaarafaar Joseph

Job Titles:

Kaarafaar Joseph is a Project Officer that supports and train FMNR/AE farmers on daily basis in Lawra District. He holds a Diploma in General Agriculture from the Methodist University College Ghana, Wenchi Campus. Joseph Kaarafaar did his attachment with Ghana Cocoa Board Wa, as a field worker in-charge of assembling and bulk purchasing of shea nuts. He did his mandatory National service with MoFA at Jaman south (Drobo) in the Brong-Ahafo Region (2011-2012), during which he also worked as a field officer in-charge a particular village giving seeds and seedless to Cocoa and Cashew farmers. He established cabbage and carrot garden as a source of his livelihood until his new appointment.

Kate Dery

Kate Dery holds a Bachelor of Art Integrated Community Development Studies at the University for Development Studies, Where she gained a range of skills, knowledge and values In working with communities. Kate is a good communicator with diverse language background and communicate effectively and confidently in English, Twi, Sissali and Dagaare. she acquired Content training skills and the use of Pedagogical approach with CIKOD under the PARSAO Project now called PAMOBARMA where she used participatory learning methods such as the use of Images, Photos, video documentaries, and graphic designs to impart knowledge, skills and attitudes of Key Stakeholders with the desire to make them agents of change in their communities. In addition, she is able to use the human rights based approach to bring about change in society particularly young people by helping them identify rights violations and holding duty bearers to account. Kate is am a good team player and command interpersonal relationships especially among vulnerable people and people living in poverty. Michael Anim

Prosper Ibrahim is the Finance/Administrative officer for CIKOD, having worked with CIKOD OVER THE PAST EIGHT YEARS. Prosper Ibrahim: have experience in budgeting, raising payment vouchers, receiving retirements, depositing cash at the bank, monthly reconciliation for various projects and preparation of financial reports. HE hold a degree in Accounting from University of professional studies an HND from the Bolgatanga polytechnic and currently pursuing a professional qualification from Ghana Institute of Chartered Accountant.
