Darren is Head of House Sadler and a proud member of the Cromer community. Darren is an experienced senior teacher, originally from the North East. He has taught at schools along the North Norfolk Coast for the last decade and believes that raising aspirations and raising achievement go hand in hand in improving outcomes for our young people. Darren strongly believes in his house values and strives to instil loyalty and resourcefulness in all Cromer pupils. As a lover of literature, he is passionate about broadening horizons and opening minds for the pupils of Cromer Academy. He firmly believes that building relationships is the key to creating a culture of success at Cromer Academy.

David Leece

David has been a history teacher since 2005 and has worked in a variety of schools in Yorkshire and Norfolk. He has spent much of his career as a middle manager, first as Head of History, and then as Head of Year. Since joining Inspiration Trust, David has been focusing on English Baccalaureate subjects.

Glenn is Head of House Shipp and a maths specialist. He strives to instil the house values of integrity and fortitude in all of his pupils and believes that there is nowhere he'd rather teach. Glenn is extremely proud of his Norfolk roots and after teaching in Brighton and the North East, decided that Norfolk will always be home.

John Vincent

John is the Principal at Cromer Academy. John has been a teacher of physical education since 1997 and has worked in a variety of schools and colleges across Norfolk. He spent much of his career in both curriculum and pastoral leadership. In 2014, John was appointed as Assistant Principal at Jane Austen College supporting the Principal in the schools first two years of opening. He was responsible for developing the culture of the school. A move to The Hewett Academy in April 2016 as Vice Principal saw him leading on behaviour, attendance and safeguarding over the next two years until April 2018. He rejoined Jane Austen College's leadership team in April 2018 as the Vice Principal leading on behaviour, attendance and safeguarding. Progressing to the Head of School position in June 2023. From 2012-2014 John also worked as the Head of Education and Sports Psychologist at Norwich City Football Club working with a range of players. In 1998 John joined City College Norwich as a Sports Scientist progressing to a leadership role as a Programme Manager. The sports department grew from 90 students to over 500 during his time as programme manager. He was also responsible for writing the first BSc Hons in Sport Health and Exercise delivered at the college. John is also a keen sports coach and has been directly involved in coaching a number of local football teams at all levels.

Kirsty is Head of House Blogg and a proud member of the Cromer Academy team. As the Designated Safeguarding Lead, Kirsty has oversight of safeguarding, personal development and SEND. Before joining Cromer Academy, Kirsty achieved Advanced Skills Teacher qualification and coached NQTs and experienced teachers to develop and enhance their practice. She is committed to ensuring all pupils have the support and care they may need, allowing them to fulfil their potential.

Michael Martin

Michael joined Cromer Academy in 2018. Prior to joining the school, Michael was Assistant Headteacher at The Hewett Academy in 2015, where he was part of the leadership team that led the academy from 'Special Measures' to 'Good' in 2018. Michael is passionate about ensuring that pupils at Cromer Academy have access to a broad curriculum that sets them up for the next stage of their education, whether that be studying at a sixth form, college or an apprenticeship. Michael has been a geography and business teacher since 2004, spending over a decade teaching at an 'Outstanding' school in Norwich.
