EHS is a leading provider of Material Resource Management Systems for the Healthcare Industry. In a managed care environment, healthcare providers must continually seek ways to reduce costs. Electronic Healthcare Systems was created in 1980 to provide contract programming services. In 1982, a Pittsburgh area Qantel Dealer contracted Electronic Healthcare Systems to install a Qantel Materials Management System, purchased by a local hospital. In the following years, Electronic Healthcare Systems developed Materials Management software for use specifically in the healthcare industry. In February of 1985, Electronic Healthcare Systems began to take advantage of the emerging PC technology.
