The Amherst Girls Rugby Team was founded in 2008 and has competed in the Rugby Ohio - Northern Ohio High School league since 2009. The Amherst Girls Rugby Team is a "Community Club" and is open to all area high school girls (that currently don't have a girls rugby team at their school and we are the closest team to them), grades 9 -12 under the age of 19. Being based out of Amherst Ohio, over the years we have had girls playing with us from Elyria, Firelands, Edison, and Lorain high schools... We strive to become the best rugby players that we can be, and to play at the highest level - both individually and as a team. Being Student-Athletes we recognize that family and school come first, our priorities are;... We strive to create traditions that instill pride, impact individuals, and cultivate relationships through community service and partnerships.
