HARPS OF COMFORT

Harps of Comfort harpists are certified music-thanatologists and other therapeutic musicians. As practitioners with years of experience in medical settings, we know first-hand how powerful music can be as a tool for symptom management, comfort, and even meaning-making in the face of suffering. Harps of Comfort is a fiscally sponsored project of Community Initiatives and receives funding from individual donations, the Froedtert Hospital Foundation, a Project Music Heals Us Vital Sounds Initiative grant. Circle of Love, a music-thanatology nonprofit, provided initial funding to our musicians... Harps of Comfort provides remote music to isolated patients with COVID-19 and other serious illness, patients nearing the end of life, loved ones, and caregivers...
