Ashley E. Russo

Ms. Russo's practice involves medical malpractice defense, complex civil litigation, and employment law. Prior to joining Hinchey & Oldenhoff, LLP, Ms. Russo was an associate practicing at a midsize Boston firm. A major aspect of her civil litigation practice has been defense of healthcare providers, including doctors, nurses, mental health workers, and healthcare facilities in medical malpractice claims. She has also represented individuals in nursing homes in defense of claims. In addition, she has been involved in representing individuals and institutional defendants and general insurance defense matters in both the District Court and Superior Court. In her employment practice, Ms. Russo has been involved representing both individuals and companies in defense of discrimination and employment claims, at both the MCAD and the Superior Court.

Until recently, Mr. Hinchey was a senior partner/managing partner of a midsize Boston firm, focusing his practice on representation of individuals and businesses in complex litigation in all the trial courts in Massachusetts, and the Federal Court. He has now refocused his practice on a more limited, select clientele, to provide litigation representation for clients who expect outstanding results, crafted for the specific needs of the client. Attorney Hinchey has been recognized as one of the preeminent trial attorneys in Massachusetts and New England, having conducted more than 200 civil jury trials. He has been honored by his peers as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, the most selective, invitation-only organization of the most respected trial lawyers in the United States and Canada. He has also been recognized as a Top 100 Super Lawyer, Best Lawyers in America and has obtained the highest rating from both Judges and Attorneys from Martindale Hubbell. A significant portion of Mr. Hinchey's practice is devoted to healthcare law, involving the representation of individual care providers, healthcare institutions, and group practices. In addition to medical malpractice defense, he has represented individuals and institutions before the Board of Registration and has conducted institutional investigations within the hospital setting. Mr. Hinchey also handles complex litigation matters involving employment issues, directors' and officers' liability, and other areas of professional liability. In appropriate circumstances Mr. Hinchey represents individuals who have suffered significant injury as the result of the wrongdoing of individuals or entities and has worked with referring attorneys to obtain substantial awards and settlements. Mr. Hinchey is a frequent lecturer and instructor with both legal bar groups, including MCLE, Massachusetts Bar Association, Harvard Law School, Massachusetts DRI, and medical groups, including presentations at Massachusetts Medical Society, Cape Cod Hospital, South Shore Hospital, Brigham & Women's Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital, St. Elizabeth's Hospital and other healthcare institutions and groups. Mr. Hinchey has also been certified by the Supreme Judicial Court as a qualified Massachusetts conciliator.
