Angelo Corsaro

Angelo Corsaro, Ph.D. is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at ZettaScale Technology. At ZettaScale he is working with a world-class team to change the landscape of distributed computing. Angelo and the ZettaScale team are working hard to bring to every connected human and machine the unconstrained freedom to communicate, compute, and store - anywhere, at any scale, efficiently and securely. Angelo has been an active member and contributor in the Open Source community for three decades! He was the single-handed author of the first open source real-time Java compiler jRate. He has contributed the monad/functors Apero library to OCaml and implemented the real-time extensions to the TAO ORB in early 2000. Angelo single-handedly wrote SimD, an innovative OMG DDS C++ API that eventually was adopted as the new standard DDS mapping for C++. He has contributed a Scala API for DDS and a Scala library of distributed algorithms called Dada. In recent years, Angelo started, and still leads, the Eclipse Zenoh project. He co-wrote the first implementation in OCaml and heavily contributed to the early days of the Rust rewrite. In addition, to the Open Source contributions, Angelo is recognised as a world's top expert in edge/fog computing and a well-known researcher in the area of high-performance and large-scale distributed systems. Angelo has over 100 publications in referred journals, conferences, workshops, and magazines. Angelo has co-authored over ten international standards.

Anne Jacko

When not in front of a monitor, Anne prefers activities that involve wearing a helmet--horseback riding, skiing, and cycling. One of her favorite books is The Chicago Manual of Style, so if you need help with the nitpicking details of writing in English, she's happy to help.

Aurélie Caron

Aurélie is leading the Eclipse Foundation's Events team. Over the last 10 years, she has developed a deep knowledge of event management and marketing in the software and IT world, as she has managed event projects for major companies such as IBM, Salesforce, Adobe, Red Hat, Wipro, and many more. She has a very multi-cultural mindset as she has travelled the world and lived abroad for many years across three different continents. She loves challenges and her mantra is: If it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you.

Boris Baldassari

Boris is a long time open source enthusiast and contributor. Previously a methods and tools consultant for the industry, he joined the Eclipse Foundation in 2021 to help people and organisations adopt, understand and apply open source principles and best practices to their own projects. He is also a juggler, musician, and nature lover. He is moored in Europe.

Bryan Che

Bryan Che is Chief Strategy Officer at Huawei. There, he leads Huawei's vision and strategy across its overall businesses and portfolio, which spans mobile and consumer electronics, telecommunications, enterprise IT, and cloud.

Carmen Delgado

Carmen joined the Eclipse Foundation in October 2022 as a Community Manager having a background in project, operations, and financial management. She also volunteers as group manager and mentor at Step4ward, a mentoring program for women starting in the tech world. Christopher Guindon

Clark Roundy

As the head of product marketing for the Eclipse Foundation, Clark is the guy to talk to if you are looking for ways to raise awareness for your project. Prior to joining the Foundation, for more than 25 years Clark worked within the technology industry in a broad range of marketing, product management, sales and executive roles, many of which were closely aligned with the open source industry. In his spare time, Clark likes spending time with his family, exploring the world, playing golf, and hiking in the beautiful mountains of Utah.

David Remon

David joined the Eclipse Foundation in January 2023, bringing experience in industry and research projects in IoT, smart cities, or environment. David enjoys spending time in the mountains, traveling, and practicing any kind of sport.

Denis Roy

Dennis Leung

Dennis has been involved with open source since 2007 when Oracle made its initial contribution to the Eclipse Foundation and joined as a strategic member. He served on the Eclipse Foundation board for over 10 years. He resides in Ottawa where he enjoys an active lifestyle playing golf, hockey and spending time at the lake.

Dr. Ian Robinson

Dr. Ian Robinson is an IBM Distinguished Engineer and CTO of IBM Application Platform, which includes IBM's Java, Liberty and WebSphere technologies. He has more than 30 years' experience working in distributed enterprise computing across product development, open standards, and open source. Ian is a steering committee member of the Jakarta EE WG and has IBM team members participating in numerous Eclipse runtime and tools projects including MicroProfile, Adoptium, OpenJ9, Equinox, OSGi and Eclipse JDT.

Dr. Johannes Matheis

Dr. Johannes Matheis is a Senior Manager at Vector Informatik GmbH, a company supporting manufacturers and suppliers in the automotive and related industries with tools, software, and services for developing embedded systems. He currently leads the software development group of PREEvision. Johannes graduated with a diploma in Computer Science in 2004, and while working as a developer at the start-up Aquintos he subsequently completed his PhD at KIT (Karlsruher Institute for Technology). His areas of special interest include "model-based software engineering" and software development in Java. Since September 2021 he has served as a steering committee member on the Eclipse IDE WG.

Dr. Robert Hilbrich

Dr. Robert Hilbrich works as a manager for simulation and modeling at the German Aerospace Center in Berlin, Germany. He is a computer scientist and started his research career in the field of developing safety-critical real-time systems at the Fraunhofer research institutes FIRST and FOKUS. Since he joined the German Aerospace Center in 2015, he is responsible for the development of the traffic simulation suite Eclipse SUMO. In 2019 Robert also founded a startup, the Consultancy for Engineers GmbH, where he is employed as managing director in addition to his role at the German Aerospace Center.

Dr. Tom Ritter

Dr. Tom Ritter has been Deputy Director of the Fraunhofer Institute FOKUS since 2019. His main areas of interest are model-driven software engineering, the development of software tools, software development processes, infrastructures for tool integration and the consideration of quality throughout the entire development and life cycle of a system. Tom Ritter also participated in standardization activities and is co-author of books on components and services. He regularly provides his expertise in lectures and seminars as well as at conferences and workshops.

Dr. Wolfgang Gehring

Dr. Wolfgang Gehring is an Ambassador for Open and Inner Source and has been working on enabling and spreading the idea within the Mercedes-Benz Group AG and its IT subsidiary Mercedes-Benz Tech Innovation (MBTI). A software engineer by trade, Wolfgang's goal is to help enable Mercedes-Benz to fully embrace FOSS and become a true Open Source company. He has a passion for communities, leads MBTI's Open Source Program Office, and is a member of the Mercedes-Benz FOSS Center of Competence. In his free time, Wolfgang likes to engage in conversations about soccer and is a passionate traveler and scuba diver. He calls Albert Einstein's birth city of Ulm his home in Southern Germany.

Ed Merks Committer

Ed Merks founded his own small consulting company, macromodeling. He is a coauthor of the authoritative book EMF: Eclipse Modeling Framework which is published as a second expanded edition. He has been an elected member of the Eclipse Foundation Board of Directors for the past fifteen years and has been recognized by the Eclipse Community Awards as Top Newcomer Evangelist, Top Ambassador, and Top Committer, as well as for Lifetime Achievement. Ed is well known for his dedication to the Eclipse community since 2002, having posted more than 32,000 forum answers. He spent 16 years at IBM, achieving the level of Senior Technical Staff Member after completing his Ph.D. at Simon Fraser University. He is currently living in Switzerland and has learned to speak German. His experience in modeling technology spans more than thirty years. Ed Merks leads the Eclipse Modeling Framework project and co-leads the Eclipse Modeling project along with Rich Gronback from Borland. He is a coauthor of the authoritative book EMF: Eclipse Modeling Framework which is nearing completion of a second edition. He is interested in all aspects of Eclipse modeling and its applications. He is well recognized for his dedication to the Eclipse community, posting literally thousands of newsgroup answers each year. He is also an active blogger. Enzo Ribagnac

Enzo speaks 5 languages, enjoys cooking, and is a cat person.

Etienne Juliot

Florent Zara

Florent has French and Canadian engineering degrees, and has been involved (both personally and professionally) in the FLOSS community since 1999. Professionally, Florent has worked for nearly 20 years in a consulting company, first as a software quality consultant, then as an Open Source advisor for large companies, helping them with governance, licensing, Innersource, as well as change management. Today, as Open Source Services Team Lead, he's helping (new) Eclipse members and projects better understand, manage and master Open Source. On his personal side, he's an administrator and board member at LinuxFr.org (reference french-speaking, community driven website about Free and Open Source software).

Francisco Carneiro

Frederic Gurr

Gaël Blondelle

Hendrik Ebbers

Hendrik Ebbers is a Java Champion, a member of JSR expert groups, and JavaOne Rockstar. He is the founder and leader of the Java User Group Dortmund and gives talks and presentations in user groups and at conferences worldwide. Hendrik is a member of the Jakarta WG and the Adoptium WG. In 2022 Hendrik founded OpenElements to positively impact open source software and the open source community. The main goal of OpenElements is to strengthen open collaboration. For Hendrik, this includes helping companies to use and introduce more OSS by supporting them to set up an open source programming office (OSPO) or providing custom consulting for open source projects like Eclipse Adoptium. Next to Eclipse-related projects, Hendrik contributes to other OSS. He is a core committer of the Hedera Hashgraph, the only open source public ledger written in Java. Here, Hendrik helps Hedera and SwirldsLabs create secure, fast, and reliable components using open source standards, components, and well-known workflows.

Ivar Grimstad

James Eggleston

James Eggleston works for the European Space Agency, at the European Space Operations Centre, Darmstadt, Germany. He is the Head of Data Systems Infrastructure Section in the Mission Operations Data Systems Division. James' section is responsible for the evolution and maintenance of Ground Data Systems infrastructure for Mission Operations, which includes software for Spacecraft Monitoring and Control, Mission Planning, Data Analytics and Distribution, Mission Simulation and Mission Preparation, as well as supporting the processes and tooling required to create and deliver the solutions for internal customers and ESA member states. The current tool stack involves the use of many open-source products, including Eclipse's projects such as RCP, RAP, EMF, XText, Sirius, and others.

Juan Rico

Kenji Kazumura

Marta Rybczynska

Marta has engaged in various open-source projects for 20 years. She holds a Ph.D. in network security and has developed embedded software (including a Linux kernel port to a new architcture) and tooling. At the same time, for her, communication is at least as crucial as the development itself. Because of this, she is currently a frequent speaker at various open-source conferences. In her free time, Marta hikes in the mountains, writes, reads all types of books, and takes care of her garden.

Martin Lowe

Matthew Khouzam

Matthew Khouzam has been using Eclipse tools since the Callisto release and has been a committer on Eclipse projects for 10 years, with almost 5,000 reviews to his name. He is the product manager for Eclipse Theia, OpenVSX, Eclipse Trace Compass within Ericsson and co-lead for the Eclipse Trace Compass Incubator. Matthew is also co-lead of the CDT.cloud project. He is a technology enthusiast, especially in the field of performance engineering. In the copious amounts of free time he has left, he is a husband, a father, and enjoys cooking, biking and woodworking. He is also a budding doodler and has been co-developing a game in his remaining spare time. Matthew has worked in academia and industry, coordinating between large and small companies as well as university research labs. Finally, he is a great big nerd. He will gladly broach any subject if the other side brings enthusiasm.

Mikaël Barbero

Pawel Stankiewicz

Sara Gallian

Sara joined the Eclipse Foundation in October 2022 as SDV Program Manager. She started her career as a researcher in the field of plasma physics, but quickly changed her mind and moved to the Automotive world where she worked as a developer for ADAS functions. After a few years of coding, Sara discovered her interest for managing people and projects, and moved to team and group leading in the field of Intelligent Mobility. After 12+ years in the US and Germany, she finally found her way back to Italy where she enjoys mountain biking and climbing.

Sarah Novotny

Sarah Novotny has long been an Open Source champion in projects such as Kubernetes, NGINX and MySQL. She is part of the Microsoft Azure Office of the CTO, sits on the Linux Foundation Board of Directors, previously led an Open Source Strategy group at Google and ran large scale technology infrastructures before web-scale had a name.

Sébastien Gérard

Sébastien Gérard is director of research at CEA and he is leading the LISE laboratory (Laboratory of Model Driven Engineering for Embedded Systems) at CEA LIST. Working on research issues related to complex and critical system and software design for more than 15 years, his research interests include correct-by-construction specification and design of complex systems, model-based engineering of complex systems, and visual modeling language engineering. He is the CEA representative at Object Management Group (OMG) for more than 15 years. In particular, he is the chair of the MARTE standardization task force. He is also leading the open source project, Papyrus, the UML modeling tools of Eclipse. In 1995, he has a diploma in mechanics and aeronautics from the ENSMA high-school, in 2000 he obtained a PhD diploma in Computer Science from the Evry university and in 2013 he got his "habilitation à diriger des recherches" diploma in the domain of computer science from the Orsay Univiersity.

Wayne Beaton

Wayne works for the Eclipse Foundation where he fills the dual roles of Director of Open Source Projects and Evangelist. He spends his days working with the many Eclipse open source project teams, learning about Eclipse technology, and making sure that everybody knows just how cool it all really is. In 1982, he received the prestigious Chief Scouts Award from then-Governor General Edward Schreyer. In 1984 his team was selected to represent beautiful British Columbia in the Kinsmen Voyageur Relay. In his spare time, he writes down meaningless accomplishments from his youth in a lame attempt to impress the reader.
