Julian Kang

Julian decided to co-found the club after seeing how medical devices helped to improve his grandmother's quality of life in the hospital. Julian previously completed an associate's diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and worked for two years before returning to college, and has experience with embedded systems and front end web development. As a student in Computer Engineering, Julian hopes to help patients with disabilities to regain their cognitive abilities and live with dignity.

Naveen Vivek - VP

Naveen decided to co-found NeuroTech Society @ Purdue after realizing that all modern-day computation is inspired by the best calculator in the world: the human brain. Naveen truly believes that neurotechnology could provide a solution to many problems related to computational mathematics and physics. He wants to use his signal processing skills in an unconventional application for an Electrical Engineering student.

Suraj Kumar Raja Ratnam - Treasurer

Suraj is a technology enthusiast interested in using first principles engineering to create high-level, efficient tools that provide great value. As a co-founder, he is interested in building sustainable systems for the club can run on, to ensure its longevity in the future. Suraj believes that computation will give us answers to the deep questions we have, especially neuroscience, that is pervasive in our daily lives. As a Mechanical Engineering student with interest in control systems and robotics, he believes that neurotechnology is key to building better control schemes.

Victoire Beaufils - President

Victoire decided to found the club after interning at Mclean Hospital for the Center for Depression, Anxiety and Stress Research (CDASR). During her time there, she worked with MATLAB and EEGLAB to preprocess data for ERP analysis. Victoire's interests span from uncovering brain processes involved in neurological and psychological conditions to understanding how memory and high-level cognitive processes work. As a student in Computer Science and Psychology, Victoire is looking to bridge the gap between traditional research and computer-aided research to improve accuracy and speed of research findings.
