I have spent my entire 25+ year career working closely with leaders at all levels of the organization that struggled leading their teams or programs, influencing their peers, or "managing" their bosses. Quite often, they weren't even aware of their limitations or blind spots and they moved forward as best they could. Other times, they found themselves frozen on what steps to take next. This often led to bad decisions, or unfortunately, no decisions at all. I even found myself at times during my role as an HR executive in these same situations with similar results!... In many cases, I was fortunate enough to be in a position to coach the leaders I supported as their HR Business Partner. I was able to "put the mirror up to" my internal clients and we were able to work through many challenging situations with their leaders, peers, and direct reports.
