Lyle E. Wheeler

Lyle E. Wheeler, Jr. formed Wheeler Law, LLC in 2018. His practice manages general litigation cases, including but not limited to civil, criminal, family & divorce, with a focus on business transactions, estate planning & probate, and tax law. Lyle grew up in Norfolk, Nebraska. After graduating high school, he served four years active duty in the United States Army as a Cavalry Scout. During his military career, he served one tour of duty in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 08-09. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant. Following his military career, Lyle returned to Nebraska to study business and accounting at Wayne State College. While attending school, Lyle ran his own construction company. He graduated in May 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Public Accounting. Upon graduation, he accepted the position of staff accountant at Auten, Pruss, & Beckmann P.C. where he advised corporations, partnerships, and individuals on tax strategy and regulations. Lyle's love of business, and of tax law in particular, led him to apply for law school at University of Nebraska. Upon starting his first year of law school, Lyle continued his accounting career at HBE Becker, Meyer, Love, LLP, working as a staff accountant. In 2014, he left HBE to accept a law clerk position at Wolfe, Snowden, Hurd, Luers and Ahl, LLP. He then left there in 2015 to join Keating, O'Gara, Nedved and Peter, PC, LLO initially as a law clerk, and later as an associate attorney. Lyle earned his Juris Doctorate from the UNL College of Law in May of 2016. His studies included concentrations on Business Transactions and Taxation.
