As the only non-profit devoted exclusively to the entire Trail, our dedicated team works passionately to bolster the health, resilience, and connectivity of the A.T. and its surrounding natural lands, manage the resources and grassroots effort needed to maintain the integrity of the treadway, and enrich visitor experiences by providing essential knowledge for safe and fulfilling Trail experiences... We do much of this work in collaboration with organizations and individuals with shared goals. Our efforts are becoming more crucial than ever in the face of escalating threats that jeopardize the A.T.'s ecological integrity, scenic beauty, and the cherished Trail experience. To combat these threats, we are committed to safeguarding this treasured landscape to ensure that future generations of visitors, local communities, and wildlife can continue to benefit from it... As stewards of the Appalachian Trail, our goal is to ensure it will be enjoyed for centuries to come.
