Dr. Aran Martin

Dr Aran Martin is an associate at Alexandria Agenda. He completed a PhD in Political Science at Melbourne University and a Bachelor of International Relations with Honours at La Trobe University. He has over seven years of experience as a project manager with the Centre for Dialogue, is the editor of the internationally refereed journal Global Change, Peace & Security (Routledge) and is a lead investigator on the Australia Mediation and Peacemaking Project with the Melbourne School of Government. Dr Aran Martin has extensive experience delivering research services to government in the CVE field and more broadly. Dr Martin is a current member of the Victorian Department and Premier and Cabinet's Research Institute on Social Cohesion (RIOSC), the Australian Civil-Military Centre (ACMC) Research Multi Use List (RMUL), and the Australian Mediation Association. From 2012-2013 Dr Martin was a member of the Attorney General's Countering Violent Extremism Research Panel. In 2016-17 he was commissioned by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) to undertake an international review of approaches to state support for peace process in half a dozen countries to inform the department's process of institutional reform.

Eshan Arya

Eshan ARYA is an associate with Alexandria Agenda; an award-winning university academic, social commentator, YouTuber, and corporate trainer. Currently, Mr. Arya is working as a sessional lecturer with La Trobe Business School & Chisholm Institute for both master's and bachelor's degree programs while completing his PhD in Politics. He has his own YouTube channel where he explains business, management, marketing, HR and economics' concepts in English and Marathi. He is a corporate trainer for organisational behaviour and public speaking. Eshan holds a Master of International Relations with honours, a Bachelor of Economics with two dean's commendation medals and three university Gold medals, a Bachelor of Physics and Diploma in Business Administration. Achievements Eshan has formerly worked as a coordinator for La Trobe's division of Residential Services, as a director for the Victorian government-funded project called DOSA - Darebin Overseas Students' Association, director of Muskaan Support Australia, Founder of United and Peaceful subcontinent Inc, founder of Aapli Maati Aapli Manasa - Marathi Club, a youth worker and program advisor for Whittlesea Community Connections, President of International Students' Association, Post Graduate Officer and a Student Peer Mentor. Eshan has written over 40 articles about various social issues and has assisted the formation and operation of multiple social entrepreneurial ventures. He has a keen interest in developing programs for at-risk refugee youth, on countering domestic violence and supporting the rights of the LGBTIQ community, societal and environmental sustainability and animal welfare.

Joseph A. Camilleri

Emeritus Professor Joseph A. Camilleri OAM is the Managing Director and specialises in: diversity, governance, community engagement, education and training, cultural diversity, Asia and security. Joseph Anthony Camilleri OAM is emeritus professor at La Trobe University in Melbourne, a fellow of the Australian Academy of Social Sciences and Managing Director of Alexandria Agenda. He was the founding director of the Centre for Dialogue (2006-2012). A renowned international relations specialist, he has written some 25 widely acclaimed books and more than 100 book chapters and journal articles. In 2009, he co-authored an influential book, Worlds in Transition: Evolving Governance Across a Stressed Planet During his time at La Trobe University, he led the International Relations teaching and research program, established the Bachelor of International Relations Degree and the Master of International Policy Studies, mentored more than 20 international relations scholars who now hold senior academic positions, and supervised some 35 PhDs. Over the last 10 years, Camilleri has convened some 20 major international dialogues and conferences and appeared before many parliamentary and government inquiries, including the parliamentary inquiry into Multiculturalism in Australia in 2013.

Mete Samci

Mete Samci is an Associate at Alexandria Agenda. He has held executive positions at various national and international institutions for the past decade. He has a wealth of international experience in management and has effectively coordinated multilateral projects. Mete holds a Master of International Relations. Mete has been working closely with business communities since 2000 and has been leading various business associations since 2007. During his management period of business associations, Mete has organised and participated in trade fairs like the TUSKON World Trade Bridge programs, trained members in cutting edge methods of B2B marketing, hosted and organised international delegations with VECCI and AUSTRADE, established international trade partnerships and joint ventures for member companies, and provided consultation for more than 200 companies Mete has been attending and supporting multicultural activities of many NGOs such as the Australian Intercultural Society and the La Trobe Centre for Dialog since 2003. He led the event management team of the Anatolian Culture and Arts Festival in Melbourne from 2010 - 2013. He also has been a part of student welfare activities for domestic and international students for the last 14 years.
