ALWA FOUNDATION

Alwa Foundation is a Community Based Resource Centre (CBC, Not for profit) for Supporting and improving literacy and Learning in Primary and Secondary schools through Information and Communication Technology and Empowerment of out of school youth especially young mothers with knowledge and skills... We currently provide library and Information Communications Technology (ICT) support to primary and secondary schools in Alwa Sub County; for the improvement of literacy and learning for primary and secondary school learners, and teachers. Our services target children and adolescents who are enrolled in school and those out of school. In the category of those enrolled in primary schools, we specifically target children aged 8 years and above by enabling them to access the library and ICT services at the foundation following the designated time tables drawn for different schools. We give them personal time for revision and access to books, and show them videos containing entrepreneurship..
