Maria Fernanda "Mafe" Suarez Trujillo

Maria Fernanda "Mafe" Suarez Trujillo is a paralegal at the Law Firm of Anna Korneeva. Mafe was born and raised in Colombia, where she obtained her law degree at the Universidad de San Buenaventura, Cali, in 2016. In 2017, Mafe started specializing in commercial law at the Universidad Externado de Colombia. Mafe's work experience in Colombia was with governmental entities such as the Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores where she worked as a legal advisor on immigration issues for the Department of Valle del Cauca and Ministerio de Defensa. Mafe also has experience in another branch of Colombian law, focused on the area of public contracting. During her years working with the Colombian governmental entities, Mafe was able to revitalize dialogues with mayors and governors of the Department to enhance the implementation and strengthening of immigration policies.

Marissa D. Richardson

Marissa D. Richardson, Esq. is an Associate Attorney at the Law Firm of Anna Korneeva. Marissa grew up in the Greater Cincinnati area and attended Northern Kentucky University where she graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Criminal Justice. She then attended University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law where she graduated magna cum laude with her Juris Doctor. While in law school, Marissa was an active member of numerous student organizations including the Louisville Law Chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) where she acted as Vice President of Communications. Marissa also served as Articles Editor of the University of Louisville Law Review and participated in the International Service-Learning Program where she taught high school students abroad. She received numerous awards during her time at Louisville Law, including the Dean's List and a CALI Excellence for the Future Award for earning the highest grade in her Law and Literature course. Finally, Marissa clerked at a well-known Louisville law firm where she gained excellent criminal defense experience working on Criminal Justice Act (CJA) appointed cases and pursuing post-conviction appeals in federal criminal proceedings. Marissa is licensed to practice as an attorney in the State of Ohio. She is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

Ximena Pereira

Ximena Pereira is a paralegal at the Law Firm of Anna Korneeva. Ximena was born and raised in Uruguay, where she obtained her law degree at the Universidad de la Republica, Montevideo, in 2017. That same year, Ximena started specializing in European Union Law at the Sapienza University in Rome, Italy. Ximena's work experience in Uruguay was with governmental entities such as the Universidad Tecnologica where she worked as a legal advisor on the Purchase's Department. Ximena also has experience in European Union Law, acquired in 2020, when she worked in Greece with Asylum seekers coming from Afghanistan, Syria, and Somalia. There, she helped many people to have a dignified life after experiencing wars and other terrible issues. Ximena is now living in Spain and learning about the complexities and intricacies of U.S. immigration law. She works remotely and enjoys being part of the Law Firm of Anna Korneeva, serving the immigrant community of greater Cincinnati.
