Aviva Finance Limited (AVFL),one of the leading financial institutions in Bangladesh started its journey in 1996. The company was incorporated on March 4, 1996 as Bahrain Bangladesh Finance and Investment Company Limited. as a joint venture between few renowned investors from Bangladesh and Bahrain. However, in 2000, the Mascot Finance Company Ltd. (MFC) of Sultanate of Muscat along with some other investors acquired the majority shares of the company and the company was renamed as Bangladesh Leasing & Finance Ltd.
