Amy Hancock

Amy has 17 years of combined experience in direct clinical services and administration in the behavioral healthcare field. Her wide range of experience includes family, individual, and group counseling. She has worked with adults who have co-occurring disorders, trauma, HIV/AIDS and families with a codependency focus. Amy has also managed specialized programs for veterans and pregnant/post-partum women with children in a residential treatment setting. In addition to counseling, she has worked with community partners to facilitate case management services for patient care that includes medical services, employment, and housing. She has held positions as therapist, clinical supervisor, and residential program manager. As a program manager she oversaw clinical staff and the day to day operations of a residential treatment facility. Amy began her career at Florida Springs Wellness and Recovery Center as the director of behavioral health services in 2018 where she has worked with the core team and the medical director to develop the programmatic structure of the facility that includes all clinical and medical services. She currently manages the day to day operations of the facility, which includes providing supervision to all clinical and administrative staff. Amy is responsible for overseeing compliance with the Florida Department of Children and Families and joint commission standards. In addition, Amy maintains a small patient caseload, and she provides individual and group therapy. Amy received her master's degree in Mental Health Counseling and is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida.

Jessica DeMeester

Job Titles:
  • Admissions Director
Jessica has worked for nearly a decade in mental health and substance abuse treatment, and she brings this experience to her role as Admissions Director. She has a bachelor's degree in nursing and a passion for helping those struggling with addiction, as she has been personally affected by this disease. When not at work, she is typically juggling the demands of twin toddlers. Like a true Florida native, she also enjoys days at the beach.

Nicole Buban

Job Titles:
  • Director of Nursing
Nicole Buban has been in healthcare since her senior year of high school. During her 11-year career, she has worked as a CNA, RN, charge nurse, and director of nursing. Six of those years have been in the field of addiction recovery. She joined Florida Springs after several years as a nurse and charge nurse at an 80-bed inpatient recovery facility in Jacksonville. Nicole has become focused on Mental Health and Addiction, considering it her calling. She was inspired to serve people in treatment due to struggles with addiction among her family members. Trying to make a difference in her own family and now her community, Nicole brings loyalty, reliability, and honesty, all vital in a person with her responsibilities.

Raymond M. Pomm

Job Titles:
  • Medical Director
Dr. Pomm is Board Certified in Psychiatry, Addiction Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. He is also a Certified Medical Review Officer. Dr. Pomm served on the Governor's Commission on Mental Health and Substance Abuse. In 1992 he began working for the Impaired Professionals Program of the State of Florida, the Professionals Resource Program (PRN). From 1998 until 2011 he served as Medical Director for this organization. PRN serves 29 Healthcare Boards and Councils on matters relating to healthcare professionals' impairment. Also, from 1994 until 2010, Dr. Pomm was an Expert Consultant to the Florida Board of Bar Examiners. He served as Medical Director for River Region Human Services from 1994 until 2017. Dr. Pomm presently serves as Chief Medical Officer for Gateway Community Services in Jacksonville, Florida (a nonprofit substance abuse treatment center offering all levels of care and including co-occurring psychiatric services). He has been with Gateway since 2006. Dr. Pomm also serves as the Medical Director of Florida Springs Wellness and Recovery Center. He is a Courtesy Assistant Professor in the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. In addition, he holds an appointment as Courtesy Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Florida. He has been a leader in the addiction field as it relates to the evaluation and treatment of co-occurring disorders and management of impaired professionals. He, most recently, was the author for Project Save Lives, as funded by the Jacksonville City Council. This program has been successfully initiated in the ED's of 7 hospitals. Dr. Pomm has received multiple awards, including "The Marie Award" from the American Association for the Treatment of Opioid Dependence. He is an international speaker and has written multiple publications on issues surrounding addiction as well as healthcare professional impairment.

Skye Asti

Job Titles:
  • Business Development Representative
Skye Asti is our Alabama Business Development Representative, and she thrives on spreading the word about Florida Springs Wellness and Recovery Center. She focuses on creating partnerships and fostering relationships with various agencies and individuals in the community who may have clients in need of our services. She collaborates with other mental health professionals in her large network to provide appropriate referrals, when necessary. Skye is a person in long term recovery and has been clean and sober since 2013. She is passionate about recovery and believes it is her life's purpose to be of service to those suffering from addiction, and to help them find the same freedom that she was given. Skye studied Psychology and Sociology at Auburn University Montgomery, and has worked in the addiction treatment field since 2015. She lives in Central Alabama, and when she's not working, can usually be found in the woods hiking, or at home cooking up comfort food.
